Unfortunately for Gus, the record this year, along with the last two seasons, demand a change.  If they lose to the Bills this Sunday, he'll be gone on Monday, the start of the bye week.

It's clear the job isn't getting done. See Ya Gus

I said..a message has to be sent.

See ya Gus? You're firing him?

I wish I could.

After today's loss and Miami's success today, I think #1 is the most likely scenario.

This. I think a week ago there was at least a 60% chance Gus made it through the season regardless of record.

After what Miami did yesterday under their interim coach, I think Gus is gone after losing in London, if he even makes it through today.

Yup, its laughable. This team is the joke of the league.
Quote:I think he wants this bad. I'm convinced that Gus goes a long ways toward saving his job with a win in London. On the flip side, I'm convinced the Bills, and particularly McCoy, whoop us silly.

One win shouldn't decide whether he keeps his job. The body of work is terrible. Gus should be fired after the bye to give Marrone a chance to audition for the job.
The Gustler has rolled the dice and landed snake eyes. Time for him to pack his bags and gamble another teams future away.

I'm not the conspiracy theorist type, but sometimes I feel like if Shad Khan keeps Gus, especially after yesterday, he is trying to get the fan base to abandon the team so he can move them to London. Is this logical? No, not really, but what could he possibly see in keeping Gus? I've been going to games with my dad and brother for 15+ years now, so I hold the games/team very close to my heart. This is the first time I've ever felt like not even being in attendance on Sunday anymore. It just doesn't make any financial sense anymore.

Buffalo is going to hood stomp us. Even with Tyrod Taylor out. We have proven ourself to be bad enough to where teams can go to starting QB to backup QB without a hiccup. Not to mention their talent loaded players at nearly every position.

I guess if I were Shad Khan, I'd be trying to atleast appear to be proactive and promote Marrone. The pros of the idea could result in wins, and the cons wouldn't be any different than what is currently taking place.

This season was literally gift wrapped to us!

No Luck Colts... Turn over Jameis... Hoyer.... and now no Tyrod, Watkins, Harvin and Kyle Williams..... MY GOD
My question is, if Marrone is the assistant HC currently, what the hell is he assisting?!

The worst part is that we pretty much gift wrapped two seasons to Dave Caldwell and Gus Bradley. Prob the only time I've ever seen a fan base flat out accept how bad the situation was in hopes for the future.

It's year 3. The light at the end of the tunnel has turned out to be a freight train.

Good Catch !!   wow .....
Much like Fisch last season, I don't see what Gus brings to the table and keeping him solely for consistency is an absurd reason
Quote:Why do you hate to say it?

He's been awful as a HC.

Because it's sad to think we'll have to wait another week?

If Khan isn't willing to fire Gus if he wins in London, then Gus needs to go today.

If the Jaguars get soundly beaten by the Bills I see very little chance that Gus survives. Shad Khan will simply not put up with this, especially since the game should get a little more attention than the typical Jag game (being in London). The saying, "Nice guys finish last" applies to NFL coaches as Bradley is a prime example. A team like Seattle might get away with a Pete Carroll due to it's abundance of talent. Hire Marrone to be interim coach and then see what happens. Maybe Payton will be available (although they'd have to offer him much more than any other team).

I'm not entirely sure about the bolded part. I think however that shakes out is largely dependent on the peer-perceived talent level of the team. Shad is a good owner to work for...I mean look at what he's done and put up with so far. These potentially marquee coaches who could be available next season would definitely want to come here if they look at that Jags in a positive light talent wise. Which, indeed, would be a further indictment of the current coaching staff. Our offensive skill position players alone should make an offensive minded coach salivate at the opportunity to work with.

At least that's how I hope it shakes out...

He does the whip cream and cherries while gus delivers the ice cream
Thinking about it, are we ready for a new chapter in the Jaguars History book? Are we ready to turn over the coaching staff again and get a new leader? Gus Bradley has been our coach for 2+ years now. A long, painful 2+ years with few very bright spots. Soon, he will be gone forever. Another name in the history books. Shame that name is a stain on the Jaguars franchise. Someone hold me Sad Sad

What should or shouldn't happen isn't the point. This is Khan's team, and if Gus pulls off a miraculous win over the Bills in London, I don't see Khan letting him go that easy. Again, I very much doubt this team has any shot at doing as much, but this is London. This is where Khan wants his brand to catch on, so winning there will say A LOT. If there ever were a case where one game makes all the difference, this is it.
