The number one rule of negotiating is that you have to have a price in mind that you will not exceed. You can't just get into a bidding war and pay whatever it comes to no matter what it comes to. That's idiotic. I'm sure Dave has a price in mind where he will say, no, this is an insane price for this guy.

I don't think you understand. I am all for overpaying. I will not complain if the team overpays. Find one post of mine where I complained about how much we paid a free agent. We need to add talent. We can't build an entire team with draft picks alone. So we must sign talented free agents. Other teams want these talented players too. So a bidding war ensues to secure the rights to coveted free agents. Which makes the price tag very very high. And I am ok with this. Because I want the Jaguars to have better players on the roster.
Man, sometimes I wonder why I keep coming back to check on statuses lol. It's so back n forth with the rumors.
