The Colts did it last year with Frank Gore, but yeah...

Lets be honest, has our defense gotten alot better since yesterday? I know free agency is not over but alot of top talent are gone.

I'm not mad over Vernon, it was right to let go at that price.

 

But I see this FA as a missed opportunity, may not have been our fault but aside from the Jackson signing which I REALLY love it's tough not to see other improvements on the defense. (not to mention the interior of Oline).

We'll see what will happen in the next hours couple of days but right now we either hit the jackpot in the draft and with Fowler or the holes are still there. Counting on rookies basically.

The Giants were able to use their ample cap space to fill major needs with highly sought after free agents. I guess that's the benefit of being a premier franchise and not a perennial dumpster fire like the Jags.

Things are very quiet on the safety front.  I haven't heard much about Weddle or Gipson.  Same with the cornerbacks that are left.  Sounded like earlier Smith is going to Oakland, but haven't heard much on that lately.  I am disappointed we didn't get Vernon, but there's no point in [BLEEP] about it, you have to move on.  Hopefully we are able to parlay that money and get an end and a secondary piece for the price of Vernon.

If we can somehow get Gipson/Weddle and Sean Smith I'd think of FA as a win for us.

You'd rather it not happen so you can continue to whine and post whiny tweets.

I don't think we go after Sean Smith but I think we get Weddle/Gipson.  We just haven't been mentioned with Smith at all, I'd be happy if we picked him up too though.
