I don't know how to copy and paste tweets but Alex Marvez just tweeted that the feeling he is getting from talking to other NFL people is that Miami will ultimately rescind the transition tag from Vernon.

How anyone could complain about that scenario is beyond me. But they will.


Hell, if you told me a week ago that we'd sign Jackson, Vernon and Irvin - I'd have thought it a long shot. Now it looks like it's a real possibility.

The best part is that all of these guys are relatively young. They can contribute for a long time.

Holy cow guys, please keep a hold of the reigns just a little. We got Malik and it sounds like we're pretty strong favorites for Irvin, that's fantastic. Now the volcano has erupted and we're all but mortal locks to get Vernon and Smith/Jenkins and Gipson and Allen...despite very cursory rumors at best? There are still almost a billion FA dollars out there and a ton of teams that want these studs. Let's try to keep the lid on a bit for those other guys.
