I'm done expecting good things from him.  He's missed a ton of tackles even in the box and has made nearly 0 big plays in 3 years.

I'm seeing Sample as the starter and Cyprien being a back up lb at probably OTTO. Sample has shown even in college which is why they considered him at FS, that he could at least cover

They said all along they wanted the two safeties to be able to play in the box and cover. So to me that say Gipson and Sample.

That's a fair take. I still have a faint glimmer of hope for him, but I'm glad Sample will be waiting in the wings should Cyp not step it up.

I remember having a "Johnny Jaguar" phase...

 

I think it lasted until after the college season ended. When we really start digging into possible draft picks and stats.

He just wasn't drafted as high.

If he was going to be converted, yes, that is the LB position for him. I think he could develop into one, certainly. An in-the-box SS tho is really where he needs to be. Then again, I don't know how wild they are thinking if they are considering Jack for SS which might be the implication. That's a little wild tho.
