I read that too, but it was like three days after we released him that the suspension news about Ace Sanders came out IIRC.

However, can you at least admit the talent level on this team-even absent a pass rush-is much higher than it was in the "in Gene we trust" era?

 

With Bortles, et al, isn't there legitimate reason for optimism?

Mingo and Kruger are awful. You don't want them. I follow the Browns and Mingo can only work as a coverage LB. Kruger is a pass rusher in intent only because he didn't get there.

That's why he is still crying about one player being missed out on, despite having the best FA haul in the league. Oh, there is that little caveat that he didn't want to play here too, and was made the highest paid pass rusher in the league despite not being the best one.

This is significantly underselling it too. Didn't even mention Amukamara, and Beachum if he gets back to normal health it's far more than just OL depth
