 Dan Orlovsky likely will be the bridge for a QB the Lions end up drafting in the middle or late rounds.   The Lions haven't drafted a QB since taking Matthew Stafford with pick # 1 in 2009.  Considering the Patriots history of taking QBs to groom as # 2 QBs,   I think Lions new G.M. Bob Quinn will follow the same path.   As for Orlovsky,  he has a long history with Jim Caldwell and much like with Chad Henne in Jacksonville,  Orlovsky is excellent in the locker room and QB meeting room.

  The Jets problematic salary cap situation has already caused them to make difficult / painful decisions.   Including,  moving on from current Jags RB Chris Ivory.  

 

   Even entering his 11th season, D'Brickshaw Ferguson likely would be in major demand if he hits the open market.   The Jets very likely would try to trade Ferguson if they sign Kelvin Beachum and could get a good offer from a team that has the cap space to absorb the contract.

Dave Caldwell this morning said Ayers had dinner last night with the newly signed free agents, and will go through a physical today and meet with the coaches.  Amukamara arrived late last night and will also go through a physical today and meet with the staff.

Yep. Has experience at both Guard positions and at Center. He'd give you some flexibility if they decide to move Cann or Linder to Center as well.

I would have thought Leary would be the Cowboys interior olineman to go after. He's been quite good in the past and is still young.
