Hard to tell. When they asked him how he felt about missing Vernon and having to go after 2nd wave guys his immediate response was "there's always trades" and then mentioned FAs, roster cuts, and the draft.
Just didn't sound like his normal speech, kind of hinted at going after a trade to me. He never mentioned trades before that I'm aware of.
