Chargers RT Joe Barksdale not going anywhere. "We got the deal done. I'll be signing tomorrow." Was scheduled to hit free agency Wednesday.

I hope tomorrow is full of Janoris Jenkins to Jags rumors.

Well, with Ramsey probably not going to be there at 5, I think safety and corner just became more of a priority. Id pursue Jenkins to see what he wants. I still think Irvin is a great fit here.

Maybe this time around Jags pass on Mack. He is getting a bit older and defensively, we could use more help. We can draft a Center or sign a guard and move Cann or Linder to Center.

1. Jackson

2. Irvin

3. Jenkins

3 names to keep an eye on.

Report: Jets interested in Nick Fairley

.................

This would be the first time in Nick Fairley's NFL career that he would be playing for a 3-4 base team. Having said that, the Jets frequently use 4 Defensive Lineman, which would enable Fairley to play extensively at DT.
Quote:Report: Vikings expected to cut Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace | MIN

(March 7, 2016 9:12 PM EST)

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora expects the Vikings to release Mike Wallace within the "next 48 hours."

Wallace would have to take a massive pay cut to stay, as he's not going to see the $23 million he's slated to be paid over the next two seasons. The Vikings met with Wallace's agents at the Combine, but talks apparently didn't go well if we're to believe this report. Luckily for Wallace, the free-agent receiver market is as poor as it's been in recent memory, so he could find some guaranteed money if cut. Wallace is entering his age-30 season after a 39-473-2 year.

What a difference from last year, when it took forever for Joe Barksdale to sign an NFL contract.

Thanks for starting this thread. This is very helpful keeping up with everything happening with Free Agency and related items.

Interesting. I definitely can envision him signing with another NFC North team other than the Bears.
If this regime honestly thinks Sweezy is who we should target to fix the interior of the line I am going to be angry. There are a minimum of a dozen guards under 30 better than him. At least when we signed Beadles he was an average rated guard. Sweezy was dead last PFF rated G last year and 2nd to last this year.

Can't imagine why titans wouldn't just sign Miller or Martin vs trade for Murray. Not a good sign for new leadership team.

The Jaguars have the most cap space. The other 3 teams have links to Malik Jackson's past or present..

SuperJVille disagrees lol.

Apparently the Jags and other teams don't value PFF grades as much as you?

I haven't paid much attention to Sweezy. Just know Seattle has had problems with their offensive line too.

If it's as beadles replacement, I say sure. We need bodies - looks like we will be without 2 starters on this offensive line from last year

Going to be very interesting!

Taking my teal glasses off, just from a business perspective, it makes much more sense to sign with a team in Florida over a team in California. That 15 million a year will be a lot lesser when he looks at his taxes in Oakland.

It's also a good sign that people who have coached him really want him on their team.

We also have Julius who played with him

Technically yes, but Linder/Cann is replacing one of those spots.
Quote:Trading a 2nd to move up 2 spots would be an all time bone head move. There are going to be tons of good football players in the 2nd round. No reason to trade up in this draft. Bosa Jack or Ramsey. We good.

No way Dave would do that. No way.

Yeah, trading a 2nd to move up two spots is a horrific plan.

I'll be surprised if Malik Jackson isn't signed by some team by Thursday.
