Steelers have about the same salary cap situation as the Jaguars. They basically have no centers on their roster so will be very motivated to sign Morse. This means the Jaguars will likely have to offer a decent amount more than the Steelers. Steelers would seem to be a more desirable destination for most free agents due to their 20 consecutive non-losing seasons compared to the Jaguars terrible record for nearly 2 decades. Hopefully the Jaguars have some connections to Morse that would motivate him to come here. Hope I'm wrong, but I can't see Baalke outbidding the Steelers for his services.

He was drafted by the Chiefs when Pederson was there. Florida is a tax free state. He doesn't have to see the Browns and Ravens front four twice a year and play up North.
He'll be 32. Sounds like Jacksonville is the better option. Pittsburgh has a QB problem. We don't.

I like your optimism! He'd be a great addition who could start at least a couple more years until a new draftee develops (Frazier, Bortolini, Haynes).

Even if you are a Jags fan who doesn't believe Trevor Lawrence, he will be better than any QB that the Steelers will be putting out there in 24 -- Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, any rookie that will fall to their pick at #20.
That should matter to any Center that is still chasing a ring.
We need Morse badly. I will instantly feel good about this offseason if he is signed,

Was about to say. Pulling an upgrade at Center, a premier DT in Wilkins and pulling off a trade for Sneed would be peak Baalke and MasterClass worthy consideration. I'll settle for Morse at Center, maybe D.J Reader at DT and/or Leonard Williams at DT, maybe even Calais Campbell back in some capacity, etc.
That would be good enough for me to make me feel better as a fan getting into the draft next month.

No one person will insure we are in the Superbowl. My hope is we are building a sustainable team. Giving up our second is not a prudent thing to do if that is the vision. So, the Chiefs are willing to give up their center for our second round pick. It would appear either the player has issues now or is nearing his useful end and they are cashing out before the degradation is apparent. Not a good deal to me.

Sneed is a relatively young corner and a cap casualty. I dont know if I’d trade for him, but the chefs aren’t shopping him for the reasons you describe. He has good trade value and they can’t afford him.
