That defense is improved upfront,. Allen got his money and should be primed for 20 sacks this year. Johnson will have a chance to make plays on the back end.

Can’t wait for the draft. Go Jaguars! See you guys on April 25th.
Especially with Lawrence and Etienne rounding out their rookie contracts. Looking to see big output from them in year four.

That part. Don’t forget Campbell and Cisco.

Positives: Harrison will be a year better. Cleveland will have an offseason with the team. Upgrading the center position gives us flexibility along that oline.

Tank will be able to put his rookie season behind him and let the game come to him and slow things down.

Kirk will be back.
Hopefully Swagnew gives us 1 more year
Engram coming off a career year.
Allen coming off a monster year.
Etienne eyeing 3 straight 1k yards, and he wants his paper too.
Campbell will also want his paper
Cisco wants his too
Johnson bout to give us some athleticism on the backend and be a playmaker and create turnovers.

Armstead gives us a quality presence up front.
Legend says Oluokun is still out here tackling dudes.

Plus the draft.

Your boy is hyped! We bout to get active. As Bart Scott said best “Can’t Wait.”
Man the title to that video gotta love them aussies.

I say depending on the draft and getting a few quality big guys yes.  Today, TL let us know it took till March for him to get healed up and feel normal. Think about that a bit.  I project if we can protect TL, Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, Gabe Davis, Evan Engram will have career years whether we draft a shiny object (WR) or not. If we don't get the big guys in the draft then no, we get more of the same. It is the big guys on the line that enable the skill players to do their stuff. Not the other way around.
Big boys are needed on this team. We have to win in the trenches to be a playoff team.

Very athletic!

He was with Detroit last year but did not catch on. Crowded TE room though with Sam LaPorta doing what he did. Not going to get overly excited just yet.

We had some athletes last year here during the preseason that made grabs like that but didn't make the team. Forget the kids name, but, he had one big grab downfield as a WR/TE hybrid. Came over from the Rams I think.

Would be nice though. Between Engram, Strange & Farrell they have a decent trio there. Maybe somebody like this kid can come in and push for a spot.

Was it Harris?

Yeah aussie rules has heavy contact and requires delicate hands whilst moving at a fast pace  he could probably be a backup punter if required tbh.

Those are good hands, but to be fair, they don’t have to worry about a cornerback burying his shoulder pads into their rib cage.

That's why I feel like they want to draft a guard with a high pick (first two rounds) to replace Scherff.
Good in pass block, mediocre in run block.
It was also difficult for him to play between a pretty bad center and a rookie who need to improve his run blocking.
But at this point of his career, Scherff should be a back up.

Cooper Beebe with the 2nd round pick would be ideal IMO.

Same, hopefully Muma improves and LB might be the biggest strength on this team.  I think Lloyd will take his game up another level as well
We need to find our Zack Martin

Not hard. His name is JPJ.

Or Christian Haynes.

Or Graham Barton.

Or Tuliese Fuaga.

There's a dozen of them if we make the call.

Martin has made 9 All Pro teams, 2010s All Decade Team, and a future HOFer.  Martin is one of the best guards ever.  I'm not holding my breath that we will find the next Martin anytime soon but there are a number really good interior lineman that could improve the interior.

I doubt all of them will be Hall of famers and multiple times pro bowlers.

Saying it's not hard to find and there are a dozen Zack Martin's in this draft is comical.  He obviously doesn't realize how good Martin has been.  Steve Hutchinson was a great guard that I watched paived the way for Alexander and Peterson who just made the the HOF and had 7 Pro Bowls and 5 1st team All Pros.  Martin has 7 first team All Pros and 9 Pro Bowls and is still the best guard in the league.

That's how lazy sportswriters operate, too -- e.g., team X needs a quarterback -- if they trade up and grab the 4th rated QB, then they had an A draft because they filled their biggest need. See Vikings this year. The lazy sportswriters are projecting that the Vikings and Raiders are after McCarthy or Nix, who project as busts to me. Teams would be wise to defer taking the high-risk QBs until the risk/reward makes more sense. I wouldn't touch either guy until the 3rd round.
