I would say GOOD O-line and D-line have to be first (unless someone insane drops).

It is ok for us to have different opinions.....

Second. If an amazing corner or tackle falls, take it, otherwise should be IOL or IDL. We are fine at receiver. Trenches more important than anything else.
I see us with 3 big needs (cornerback, wide receiver and edge) but only 2 high picks -- first round (#17 overall) and second round (#48 overall).  I know we often think in terms of "Day 1", but our third pick on Day 1 is a compensatory pick very close to the bottom (#96 overall).  That's a big dropoff from our second round pick (#48).  It's much closer to our fourth round picks (#114 and #116).  I see us have 2 early picks, 3 mid round picks and then 3 late round picks.  One of our big needs will have to fall to the mid-rounds assuming we don't trade up.

I would prioritize cornerback and wide receiver, but it doesn't appear value lines up at wide receiver with our first round pick.  It's also considered a deep draft at wide receiver, so I think it gets pushed down to the second or third round.  I think cornerback is likely our pick in round one.  However, if value is there at edge, and it very well might be, I would seriously consider it.  You need 3 edges and we have no one after Allen and Walker.  Our top two backups from last year are no longer on the roster and they sucked anyways.  I wouldn't be upset with an edge in the first round if that's the value pick.
I'd take Bud Dupree as a backup to Josh and Travon.    He stayed pretty healthy last season, and in a limited role he (imo) would be better than anyone we draft or currently have backing up the duo.

Bud's knock has always been injuries.  He's only going to play limited snaps in a game...and he's can still play.  He's also familiar with our DC.

He had 6.5 sacks last season in Atlanta.   BRING HIM IN!!

I'd also like it if they could sign Dupree. His familiarity with Nielson is a big plus. Also, I doubt any of the top 3 Edge rushers will be on the Board at 17.

Another 1.5 seconds?  That's long time lol

Yeah I overshot my target by a second but the point remains the same.  Trevor was under duress and throwing before he had a chance to scan the field way too often.

He's certainly better than Smoot, who was brought back last season for sentimental reasons. I'd wait till after the draft, however, to sign someone like him. One of the top edge rushers could fall if second-tier QBs, like McCarthy and Nix, get overdrafted. They're the Ryan Picketts of this year's draft. Also, don't rule out one of the top tackles falling, which could turn Cam Robinson into trade bait.

I don't know why some of you are talking about trading Cam. No one is trading for him. If he isn't on the team next year it's because he was cut.

True, Cam is injury-prone and his salary is going to make any trade cost prohibitive.  He'll get cut to make cap room.

Wow, are they a badly run franchise. From the top down.
The Panthers took Shenault, CJ Henderson, and Chaisson after their stints with the Jaguars. They gave us a 3rd for CJ. They turned down 2 firsts and 1 second for Brian Burns and then ultimately received a 2nd and 5th a year later. They traded away CMC and DJ Moore. They gave up this year’s 1st round pick in the process of trading up for Bryce Young which gave the Bears Caleb Williams and the #1 overall pick in the process.

Yeah - that’s a poorly ran franchise lol.

Baalke would never.
I like the panthers moves for OL to protect Bryce they are a bad team so they overpaid for sure though.

You’d be surprised how many players played for both the Panthers and the Jaguars, over the years.

Maybe, I could see him as a toss in with some pick movement, ie Cam and a 4 to move up from 114 into the 70s for some mid tier team that could use line help.

Ridley: 76 Rec, 1016 Yds, 8 Tds
Aiyuk: 75 Rec, 1342 Yds, 7 Tds

I much prefer, now that Ridley is gone, to draft a WR.
If only there were more to football games than the box scores…..

Go watch him run routes and play.

Also. Having 300 more receiving yards on basically the same amount of caches is wild.

(look at the number of targets!)
oof.

They are the team to take on all of the jaguar washouts.

Chark, Henderson, Shenault....now Chiasson.
Jaguars sign kicker Joey Slye

Slye's career field-goal percentage (82.3) and PAT percentage (88.5) both are subpar by modern standards, though he does have a strong leg and has made 20 of 32 tries from 50-plus yards in his career.

I'd love to get a great WR in round 1, but...

Any great player will help Trevor.  If that great player is a defensive tackle, center, edge rusher, offensive tackle, tight end, interior lineman, or defensive back.  If that player is great at his job, it will all be firepower.

this right here, folks.

Hit on your picks. It's the best thing we can do, regardless of what position the guy(s) play.
Maybe grab a few UDFA kickers or draft very late round at the most. Why keep tossing FA money around?

I fell for these players. I was fooled. Although I still like Chark. I think Henderson was the biggest surprise.
