Quote:Wish list: Devin McCourty, Julius Thomas, Bryan Bulaga, Byron Maxwell in that order.

The 4-some would certainly make the Jaguars a much better team if they all stay relatively healthy the vast majority of times.

The demand for Devin McCourty and Byron Maxwell,  assuming they hit the open market,  is going to be huge.   The Jags have to be prepared to win huge bidding wars with both of them,  if they want to land them.
Quote:If the Jeremy Parnell reports are accurate, I don't see Bryan Bulaga coming to Jacksonville on Tuesday.

It's realistically possible Jeremy Parnell is Plan B if the Jaguars don't sign Bryan Bulaga.

I hope that is the case, but never read anything about the Jaguars targeting Bulaga.
Quote:Yea Thomas is a lock, then it will be one of the RT's and a pass rusher, Orakpo, Hughes or Hardy

One thing in particular that's difficult to predict is whether the Jaguars will be prioritizing a LEO vs. an OTTO LB in Free Agency?   Or whether they are looking for a player that can play both positions at a high level?
Not familiar with Parnell. Any track record of good play or a project guy?

Unless Bryan Bulaga's injury history scares the Jaguars away and/ or the Offensive Blocking scheme is changing substantially,   I think he's going to be a prime Jags target.
Comeon FO pleaseeeee get Iupati. I'm not too confident in our chance to get Bulaga. Joe Batksdale needs to be signed right behind him

The blocking scheme will not change much, so I would expect the reason to be injuries if we are not targeting Bulaga.
Let's be honest people, if GB is even remotely close to bulagas figure he's going to sign there. I doubt he's going to pass up the opportunity to start for a superbowl contender for an extra million or two. Like Cobb he's going to give GB a nice hometown discount.

Doubt we spend big on G after doing it last year and Linder being a stud G, they wont give up on Beadles, C if we can land Hudson and RT, then Bowanko can back up C and compete with Beadles

I'm assuming the Jags contacted Bulagas agent and moved on to Parnell. I expect Parnell to get free money so that won't break the bank. So we add Thomas plus McCourty(I hope) then where does the rest of the money go? Maclin? Hughes? Orakpo? Hudson? Murray? Maxwell? Smith? Who else are we getting????????

Early reports of interest in particular DE types. I was thinking Hughes for LEO. It's gonna be pretty cool when Dave comes through for us. I'm psyched!
While the Packers were able to retain one of their top two free agents tonight, reaching an agreement to bring back wide receiver Randall Cobb, the team may end up losing tackle Bryan Bulaga, writes Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Two league sources tell Silverstein that Bulaga is seeking a contract worth at least $7-8MM per year, and has a good chance of landing such a deal. Per one of Silverstein’s sources, Green Bay isn’t interested in paying $7MM+ annually for Bulaga, and would let him walk if the bidding got that high. The Buccaneers, the Jaguars, and Washington are believed to have interest in the free agent tackle.

Here’s more from around the league on what has been a busy Saturday:

According to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report (via Twitter), safety Devin McCourty is seeking an annual salary of $9MM per year, like what Jairus Byrd got a year ago. When I listed McCourty as 2015’s second-best free agent earlier today, I noted that if Byrd could land $9MM per year, the Pats safety should be able to do just as well on the open market.

It's kinda nice to know the volume of players we can sign if we don't put huge money on multiple guys. Multiple pass rushers like Hughes and Orakpo would make a big impact on this team without breaking the bank. I think the chances of Mccourty landing here are slim so I think it's important to at least land Moore even though we'll need to overpay to do it. We can still also add multiple guys on the o-line along with Julius Thomas. Any way you cut it, I think we're going to be much improved before the draft even takes place. I'm just trying not to worry too much about the guys i like signing elsewhere (Cobb) and just enjoy the ride.

Pay McCourty 10.5 mill a year and get him, Hughes, Bulaga and some other lower free agents and some prove it deals.

Looks like Suh is heading to the dolphins. Jags said to be out of the running and it's down to them and the Lions

Im confused, what other rb's besides murray would make sense to be "hot after".

He also just listed the Jaguars on the list of Hughes two minutes after, kind of odd he didn't list him. Maybe not hard after him?

Wish I knew more about this guy, not sure how serious to take him.
Julius Thomas, one of the lower safties (Moore, Parker, Lewis, not Searcy he's an in the box safety), one of the possible OTTOs (McPhee, Graham, Worilds), one of the non Bulaga RTs (Parnell, Barksdale, Franklin), one of the vet WRs (Maclin, Torrey, Crabtree), maybe even one of the centers (Hudson or Wisniewski).

A handful of guys like what is above is all still possible, would be in line with what reasonable expectations were all along, and make our team way way better. 3 or more marquee FAs like so many people were pining for was always an extreme unlikelihood.
