Love Davon House, a little injury prone, but a good player.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">And what about Julius Thomas? Barring something unforeseen, Thomas will agree to a five-year deal with the <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash'>#Jaguars</a>
Quote:smh @ these signings
a guy that has started 5 games...a guy who is just a guy in Odrick, and a guy who is a slightly above average TE
If you're comparing these players to another team (NE, Seattle, Dallas, etc); you might have a point. But comparing these players to ours, they are upgrades and could be major upgrades. Just because we love our team, doesn't mean we have tons of talent; and doesn't mean we can get anyone we want. Players still have to want to come here. We're turning that tide slowly each year. These players would be upgrades and good depth. Overpaid? Maybe. But that's the price we have to pay right now. We don't have the luxury of players wanting to come here based on interest. It has to be the money.
GO JAGS!!
Parnell is 28 and Free is 31.. Free prolly has a season or two left in the tank, Parnell should be here a good while..
Only makes sense to pay a 31 year old a contract with only 6 mil guaranteed..

I still don't know whether to take this guy or that other guy mentioning us with Davon House seriously. Never heard of them before yesterday.

I think this is the answer.
But, with Parnell turning 29 in July, I'm wondering how many years we will get out of him ourselves.

Either way, he should be an upgrade to what we have at RT or at least decent depth. We'll get a young tackle in the draft hopefully too.
GO JAGS!!
I think we still take a tackle in the second round so I don't think it matters.
One draft scenario now that may arise with Suh going to Miami. Detroit move up for Leonard?
GO JAGS!!

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Re: DeMarco Murray, he is looking for a five-year deal at about $8M per year. Team willing to give him that will probably get him

I think that's a lot less likely. Still could possibly use a CB, FS, Otto, LEO, RB (if we don't sign Murray and not comfortable with current duo), possibly a TE pending on Julius, possibly a WR. Would not put a lock on a tackle what so ever until we get to next weekend or so and see what we all did in FA.

The way deals are structured, a four or five year deal can easily be a glorified two year deal. Take Beadles' contract for example. That 5 year, 30 million dollar deal has zero dead money after this year. He can be cut with zero impact. Ends up being a 2 year, 12 million dollar deal in essence.

If we can get 4 years from him then its a win in my book.
how good is this CB House from GB?

Don't make any since now. People on here will get confused.

If he signs here, he's terrible.
If he signs somewhere else, then he's a stud.
How's that?
