Looks like Murray rubbed the Jags FO the wrong way with the games he's playing.
I don't understand what the Raiders or Eagles are doing. Raiders have an up and coming guy in their own Murray, and also signed Helu who is a good third down back. Eagles already have Sproles and just signed Mathews.

I don't think there's any animosity.
I think we have a number (just like we did with Mack) and we're comfortable sticking to it.

you set a top amount youre willing to pay and you take a shot. if he isnt interested in the deal .... then thats fine.

From the bits and pieces of the DeMarco Murray contract negotiations I've seen in this thread and on some other websites, my gut feeling is he's using the Jaguars and Raiders as contract leverage to sign with the Cowboys or Eagles. While I understand the business side of the equation, it doesn't seem like he truly wants to play for the Jaguars or Raiders. Otherwise, this probably would have been resolved by now.

I'm guessing he hasn't received the offer he wanted from any team and is playing them off of one another in hopes of getting to that number. That number is too high for Jacksonville and they're dropping back.
