Quote:I personally would rather pass on Murray and spend the money elsewhere

Would love to be able to trade back up into the first round for Gurley

I also think the Jags need another year to build the O-Line

Why would you rather draft a running back than sign the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year?
Quote:My guess is his agent didn't get the feedback they were anticipating during the 3 day window period.   I'll be surprised if Jason Worilds never plays another down of NFL football.
Hmmm.  Didn't really consider this possibility (yet).   Not knowing anything about the guy personally - it could be the case. But - that tweet about him having some "spiritual revelation" might prove this theory wrong.  I have no clue which is more plausible.

- Younger/Cheaper

- Money that could be spent elsewhere

- Murray was running behind the best O-Line in football

Time will time.  Yet,  what caught my attention is the timing of the announcement.  If the announcement happened a week or two ago,  I would likely view the situation differently.

Murray came before the o-line. He played well before they were good.

Actually we took six big steps.  Smile
I went to bed much earlier than usual and still can't sleep. DeMarco Murray, please come to Jacksonville!

I have no qualm with signing Demarco if the price was right.

But 9-10 million? I'm so out.

I don't think we would offer that much, but we need to pay him more than the Cowboys can.

To be honest I don't really want Murray. Such a deep rb class. Would love to have hardy though. Hope we shift our attention to him.
After all they've tried to do to sign Murray he still would rather go back to Dallas if the money's right. I think we should drop out of the Murray sweepstakes all together. Paying any RB 8 mil a year is insane. This isn't AP we are talking about.

It's clear Murray doesn't REALLY want to come here. I don't think it's a good idea to sign a guy that would clearly rather be somewhere else if the money is right. I hope they drop out of the running for him today so he gets forced to tuck tail and run back to the boys.
I don't mind losing him to Dal. Oakland would be embarrassing though
