Julius Thomas was smart signing, young, rare athletic traits, already proven, and playing a position where he can easily be productive for at least the length of his contract. Signing a RB that is coming off a 400 carry season for anything approaching first day of free agency money would just be paying him for what he did for his last team, and he'll never live up to that kind of contract in Jacksonville.
