The curse of 370 has a lot of evidence behind it, and Murray destroyed that threshold with 459 total touches. There is also a lot of evidence that shows RB peak in their age 26 season and fall off pretty precipitously afterwards. We would be paying Murray a lot of money to buck both of those trends, in addition to addition overcoming of a length injury history and a significant fall off in blocking talent. Is it possible he would be great for us? Sure. But it is not a good bet.
Fortunately we are in the financial position that we don't need to only make good bets, so it's fine if they bring him in regardless. Just saying if we expect to see relatively the same guy that won the rushing title last year it's most likely going to be a significant disappointment.

I think we definitely are, and I think we are one of the teams talking to Rahim Moore. No one plugged in has any inkling that we are pursuing McCourty.

He won't be rushing for 1800 with us.
If he's a solid RB that can protect against the blitz, catch out of the backfield, and give us a solikd 1,100-1,400 yards in the next two years, he is worth it.
He's an upgrade. I don't want any part of Toby here ever again. DeMarco and Shoelace could be nice little duo.
If you look at it from the perspective that he has to reproduce his 2014 season? No - he won't do that. But I can see him average 80 yards a game for us and be a solid player on an improving offense. Worth it IMO.
