I wonder if you pay him top tier money, if he'd be willing to put a clause in his contract that would waive any remaining guarantees if he gets convicted of any sort of DV, similar to Justin Blackmon's contract with substance abuse. It would be an interesting way to quell the negative reaction to signing him and make him put his money where is mouth is in terms of not messing up again.

Fascinating. Still putting my main priorities as RT and FS, but a solid pass rusher is good too.

Just kind of interesting to me that we're going hard after a guy like Hughes possibly, while also likely going with a guy in the draft that'll play a similar position, unless it's Fowler that we take and he plays the Otto while Hughes goes in at LEO. Although I guess same could be said if we sign Orakpo and get a guy like Gregory...

If the money's right, the Alualu signing is a good move. Never was going to be a world beater, but he knows the system and gives us depth. Good start!

true but that was almost a decade ago. not sure about the recovery of such an injury at this point. 

 

in general though, he has had a bit of the injury bug.

Saw 3mil per thrown about but not from anyone I'd consider solid yet.

Looks good to me, $3 million per season for a solid rotational DT/DE.

Alualu's gonna be a better player having a talent like Suh line up next to him
