Quote:Yes barring an exorbitant cost...if he was a free agent he would be the best available WR right now easily.

Yep, he's also only 22 years old. I assume that New Orleans is asking for something significant in return though.
Quote:Either way, the money is close to a wash....and if you ask me, with the offense the Eagles run, I think I would prefer Mccoy.

I'd take Shady too. Who knows his plan. He's all over the place. I still think he's trying to maneuver a way to get Mariota. I don't know what the plan is, but to go with Bradford in his offense makes no sense... The same could be said about Murray too....
Quote:"Probably can" means he is not a slot receiver. We need someone who already is a slot receiver.
Stills played all around the Saints. he has experience playing slot
Quote:Good news, he already is one.

So let's see if Dave Caldwell is interested.
Well he was the the #2 WR on the saints and all I remember him doing is go routes which is fine. Was a beast at Oklahoma with Broyles who would have been a good slot if he didn't mess up his knee.

Murray was offered a deal very heavy on incentives that'd max at $8M APY by another team. Will be interesting to see incentives in Philly.

Us, Oakland, or Dallas?

I feel like this is what we offered him just pure speculation. If he comes here and puts up 1800 plus yards and 13 TDs with another rushing title and all-pro and prowbowl nominations over the next 3-4 years then he is worth 8 million a year hands down.

Caldwell has no problem paying players who perform at a high level and reward the franchise with production e.g Marks prove it deal.

The Sam Bradford trade makes perfect sense. Oklahoma's offense with Bradford was very similar to Oregon's with Marcus Mariota. Nick Foles did not mesh as well as Bradford will.

The same can be said about DeMarco Murray. He is the type of runner who would thrive in Philly's offense. Murray also was Bradford's teammate at Oklahoma.

He won't fit their offense when he breaks his knee for the 100th time.

After reading about Marks earning a bigger contract in his first year with us, I wished Gene Smith knew about this thing called a prove-it deal. It was a great decision to go that route instead of throw a lot of money at him.

Teams can't say just because someone tore his ACL twice he is not worth the draft pick swap. Other quarterbacks get hurt as much as Bradford and have good careers.

One running back in the last 30 years hasn't been a major disappointment (and even Eddie George was fairly disappointing) after handling a workload like Demarco just did.

This ^. Mobility of the QB is needed for the system. Bradford is no longer that; if he really ever was. He's too fragile to excel within this system. We'll see I guess lol.

Time will tell. The Eagles may still want Mariota.

The prove-it-deal sounds good in theory.   But when a player has more contract leverage than a team,   a prove-it-deal won't be a viable option the vast majority of the times.

IMO,  Ryan Broyles recovered well from both torn ACL injuries he suffered.   The only injury that likely kept him from having a real opportunity in 2014 was the Achilles' tendon tear he suffered in Oct. 2013.   Hopefully,  with another year away from that injury,   Broyles can finally put the injuries behind him.  When it comes to players with heart and work ethic,  Broyles is in an elite class.

in the grand scheme of things, 5mil isnt a ton of money to be saving. it makes no sense to me either. shady was a fan favorite, seemed to fit the offense better. bradford from foles is a lateral move to me. idk. i see people trying to justify it but it doesnt make sense to me.

Feel bad for the guy the 2 knees and a Achilles!I feel bad for the guy, was the only reason I use to watch Oklahoma games. I'm assuming he is still on Det correct?
Cromartie back to the Jets wow

And Charles Robison is tooting his own horn on twitter over getting Murray to phly and Cromartie to the jets right, what a [BLEEP], acting like he hasnt been wrong

He'd then be like the action figure you had to glue the leg back on that you couldn't bend anymore.
