Where's that dude that said Murray was going to sign with the Jags last night after the basketball game?
Quote:Give me hardy and I'm good. Murray doesn't want to play down here it's so obvious. I also feel he's just trying to get the most out of the cowboys with no intent to sign with us. If he signs good if not O well draft one.
Quote:I'm starting to think this way also, but you gotta give the man some time. It's really such a tough decision if you think about it. Family and friends all in Dallas. It's a huge move

Could be. But he's holding his cards till they're all dealt, then see who folds.

Wouldn't shock me to see him stay in Dallas. Home town. Contender. Familiarity.

Jags would really have to up the ante.

In other rumors...Worilds set to retire.
FROM PFT

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s currently “not likely” that Murray will join the Jaguars.  But that could change.
Quote:Dan Williams and Curtis Lofton to Raiders per NFL Radio on Sirius/XM.

Pot Roast likely priced himself out of a 3rd stint with JDR.   As a result,  the Raiders decided they needed to be proactive in getting beef up front.

As for Curtis Lofton,   I have felt since his Falcons days that he's an underrated LB.   There are many LB's with more talent.   Yet,  Lofton seems to be the type of player that's around the ball more than many LB's much more gifted than him.

Lol source "with knowledge"
Quote:That's ridiculous.   Teams were allowed to talk parameters of a contract with the agent.   So what is the agent supposed to say in response?   There's no rule about what an agent can say.   So then, who's to say whom the leak came from?   What if the agent leaks the fact that the team has offered something acceptable?   Violation?   It's an unenforceable rule.

I am sure there is a way to prove who said what. Maybe there are phone call records. Maybe teams and agents communicated by email. If police departments can investigate communications, who is to say the NFL can't?

PFT hasn't broken any news at all this FA so I take what they say with a grain of salt

If the source does not have a name, I can't trust the report.
Per Gusjuice "Demarco Murray is still a free agent and could either go to the Jaguars or some other team, but he still has the chance of staying with Dallas." Can I get paid please?

Love this news! The tacks got screwed because Dick Lebeau was banking on Worilds coming over from the Steelers.

Totally blindsided him when he retired.

If the subject was ribs and macaroni and cheese, I may consider Alfie an expert

I get the feeling Dallas was the play all along. He's just using his availability to work them higher. That's what I'm getting for this taking so long. If he wanted to come here, he would have agreed already. There's too much back and forth with this. Just my two cents on it.

GO JAGS!!

It's changed around 17 times in the last couple of days.  It might change 17 more times.   I still think there's a realistic chance an additional team could emerge in the DeMarco Murray sweepstakes.

Imagine if the Vikings trade Adrian Peterson today.   That could open a door in Minneapolis.    I'm not predicting this but after what we saw yesterday in the NFL,   it's less far fetched than some of the things that happened in the league in the last 24 hours.
