Why do so many people want a C? Bowanko is fine. Unless we were getting someone like Mack, its not worth it
The OTTO LB has to be able to cover so I know fowler was never asked to cover except playing zone in the flat but has Gregory covered at all?

who's the other?
Murray maybe

Don't know who this guy is, but apparently saying Jags looking at Cameron if Thomas falls through.

I've also heard Sea is looking at Cameron if they can't get Thomas either lol

Yeah, he's dropped back into coverage before.

Because we want more competition at that spot. At this time, Bowanko is a relatively unproven option at C, with no one behind him. Even a legit backup who can push Bowanko would be a nice signing.

Gregory spent half of his pro day doing LB drills and at least trying to show that he can. I can't speak with any certainty about his ability there however.
Quote:You know, before FA i thought that there way no way we go WR at 3 but with all the decent FA WR's being kept or signing elsewhere, I think there is a real chance for this to happen now. Well at least I wouldn't be shocked if this happened now. Even though I would still go edge rusher personally

All of our reporting signings are on offence. Makes sense given how young the offence was last year. I'm not sure how you can read anything other than defence, defence, defence in the draft.

And a guy who isn't as good as Mack is the new highest paid center in the league, no need to touch that when Bowanko was solid and can still improve with Marrone as our OL Coach. FS/OTTO/LEO are way more pressing needs. I'd even say WR before C

We also went after McCourty. Just didn't get it done.

And so is Oakland....lol. Denver looking at him as a replacement for Thomas.  Just think it's weird that every other player is showing as 'agreed' to terms, yet its so hush hush about Thomas.  Wonder what the hold up is.

Demarco Murray is a possibility. Reports state Jaguars were hard after McCourty, but as expected, he went back to **New England**. There was reported interest in Jeremy Maclin, but KC with Andy Reid got him. We just got one of the better RT's in FA, not totally sold on him but there's no doubt he was dominant when he took over for Free last year. Odrick was known as one of the most underrated FA's this year, but seen to be a very nice player. So far, even without Julius being inked, i'm happy. I fully expected Odrick to not be an option, and now he starts at the 5T. We just upgraded at RT, which was a huge need. We're still rumored in on pass rushers, Murray, JT (still not sold we got him with the whole Seattle thing), and possibly an FS. We are doing well i'd say...

Would you guys be opposed to going after a WR like Crabree or Dwayne Bowe if released? Clearly not #1s but have consistency and stability throughout their careers to give competition to the young guys

he wasn't that good.  "fine" is not good.  Our running game was pretty atrocious.

Kevin White @ 3.

I think it might depend on the agents involved, and whether the agent for a particular player wants to leak the deal for some reason.

No to Bowe, Crabtree would be interesting

Let's not introduce logic here. It was obviously Caldwell's fault.

I am interested to see if they go after a consolation prize at FS. At least heat up the seat for Evans. Even a guy like Delmas would push him.

He was a rookie, he certainly played well for a rookie. He also played with a underperforming Beadles for some of his games, and a RT that was a revolving door, along with Joeckel's struggles. Bowanko and Linder were bright spots, and both were rookies. There's no reason to go and get a high priced center. Draft one or sign one that is raw in FA that has potential, there's no need to break the bank for one with Bownako showing he might be our future.

I wouldn't mind bowe if the contract isn't steep.
