Both guys say that basically GUS is the main reason they chose us

At this point, I don't really care who Murray signs with.  I don't think it's smart to pay RBs $7 or $8 million annually when you can get younger talent in the draft for 10% of that number, especially in a year like this that's loaded with RB talent.  I think the Jags would be wise to invest elsewhere.  Namely, a pass rushing DE like Hardy if he's removed from the Commissioner's Exempt List.

If the Jags snag Murray from jerry, awesome.. If not, then oh well, at least we know Dave is really trying to turn this franchise around instead of pulling a Jean Smiff and burn it to the ground..

I agree with you.  I couldn't care less if he turns the Jags down.  Draft a running back and forget him.  He's using the Jags to his advantage.

Of course it's not, but FA fever is strong and lots of people have a bad case of it.

 

If it happens cool, if it doesn't happen it's a short term letdown but deep down I know it's most likely a good thing.

We probably have $30 or $31 million left in cap space but do we cut Marcedes?  We're paying him a lot of money to block.  Dude can't catch.  If they cut him, there's another $7 million or so in cap space right?  I say go young at that position and find another blocking TE on the cheap.
