Blake for Brees and a 1st rounder? That sounds awful....

I'd no longer be a jaguars fan if we did that.

There's no way we do that but it just shows that the media just throws random stuff out there to see if it sticks...

Lol, are these people serious? People go on Twitter and say some of the dumbest things.

Nobody knew the Jags were remotely interested in Bortles when they drafted him, and now people know we are going to trade Bortles and our #1 for Brees who is coming to the end of his career? Lol, come on.

Well...Hardy please.

In the long run the team is probably better off without Murray. I do find it funny he goes from a hero in Dallas to a villain.

Hardy is keeping things close to the vest. Does anyone know the actual list of teams he's looking at?

How about Crabtree? Royal just signed with the Bears so the WR list is dwindling.
Wanting to play with Bradford again is baffling. I get the college ties and that they are bros, but Bradford is a walking injury report who has never proven he can be anything special on this level given plenty of chances. Plus Philly has Polk, Sproles and Matthews already. I doubt Philly will make an offer better than what is on the table already. Coming here would make him a feature back. Going there would almost certainly mean being a role player, even at the top of the depth chart. Questioning a lot of things about this guy's mindset. Dave seems to be sticking to his guns. If he gave us a fair shot at selling Jax as an option I think we would have a good shot at landing him. That seems unlikely.

Yeah I assumed that's the case but just for reference I wanted to say that if we got rid of our promising young future for a win now guy when the team probably still needs a year or two, I'd just be done.

I would also love to have hardy, for obvious reasons and crabtree as well.

Crabtree has had his injuries but he wasn't being properly utilized in San Fran. To me he is a guy that's gonna be able to make the contested catches and be a real asset in the red zone and short yardage. He has those long arms and strong hands. Would be good to have, especially if we can't count on much from blackmon.
Dave did his best and that's all we could ask for. It just wasn't meant to be with Murray.. Time to wrangle Hardy!!

Ryan Mathews agreed to a deal with PHIL, he did not sign a deal. Question will be whether he signs if and when Eagles sign DeMarco Murray.

Any chance at all they throw a flier out for Mathews for 2 years considering I think there is a chance he doesn't sign with philly

We need to get Greg Hardy now!

His suspension needs to be finalized before anyone starts talking to him, so just wait for that news to come out first. But I do think they will at least talk to him if his suspension is <4

The league has given him permission to pursue a free agency contract. Teams are more than likely looking for ways to structure an offer to protect them from any potential suspension.
Ya I know he's had permission but I'm sure the reason no one has heard about teams in serious talks is because everyone wants to know his suspension first

I'd say his agent advised him not to sign until the Demarco/Eagles drama is done.

Surely he's received another offer, and what would it mean if the Eagles mentioned none of this to Matthews up front?

I don't think that's what they're waiting on.

He's at the center of one of the biggest controversies the league has had to deal with in recent years revolving around domestic abuse. The league spent a ton of money on ad campaigns decrying such behavior. I think the reason you're not seeing teams racing out early in free agency to snap him up is because there's definitely going to be a stigma attached to him regardless of the adjudication.

Once the initial wave of interest in free agency subsides, he'll probably get more interest from teams who are willing to take the heat. Any team that steps into that mix will no doubt put clauses in their contracts to deal with the suspension. I don't think any potential suspension is really what is scaring teams off right now.
I hope we turn our attention to Hardy now. Would love to sign him, it looks like the bucs are making a push for him too
