NYC is already planning to waste money on a parade for healthcare workers after it is over .... whenever dems decide it is over

How about instead they focus on keeping the healthcare employees employed and paid since a lot are having their hours and pay cut because there aren't enough people in the hospital. This is just crazy.
Just wait for coming push of healthcare workers aren't paid enough for the stressful job that they aren't prepared for because schools are teaching social medicine instead of actual treatment.

The President cited anecdotal evidence from countries that regularly use the drug because of Malaria. 

He didn't say all hospitals need to stockpile this drug to stop COVID-19. He offered a tiny glimmer of hope in the constant EVERYONES DYING narrative of the Media. Nothing more.

Now there's a drug that does stop death.... So... we can stop talking about that anti-malaria drug from a month and a half ago. Just let it go.

Where is the study? I see it only involved roughly 360 people with age given, underlying conditions, when it was given, etc. Irresponsible reporting to try and get a jab in before everyone else?

To start with the article asserts that this is the biggest look at the drug we've seen.  That's not true.  The French did a study with three times the # of patients.  

Also, as Stroud pointed out, if all the patients were similarly situated then you would expect a similar death rate across all patient groups if the drug had no effect.  The chloroquine groups had mortality that was 100% or 150% greater than the so called control group.  That doesnt make any sense.  The author of the study slips in "this was NOT a rigorous experiment" to cover for the logical inference that the cq or hcq + z was given to the sickest patients as a hail Marry.  

The French epidemiologist who brought the drug to international attention pointed out that its highest and best use as a theraputic is once you have a patient of a certain risk profile that tests positive to start them on a 5 day treatment with hcq + zpack.  He found that some 90% resolved within 10 days with a case mortality rate @ half of one %.  He also found that all patients that had to be intubated were intubated within the first 36 hours, meaning that no one taking the drug consecutively for more than two days progressed to that level of morbidity.  

In the US we are using lower doses later in the disease "compassionate use"  there are a lot of doctors, in the US already prescribing the drug.  75% of the docs in Spain, a third of the docs in the world are prescribing it.  Were 6 weeks into a shutdown with 42k citizens dead.  Why aren't we talking about ALL the data?

Sounds just about as silly to me as Trump saying the left wants the economy to continue to tank because it hurts his re-election chances.
