The WHO is an extension of the United Nations. Their directors are from Africa, India, Europe and Australia. Taiwan isn't even a member of the UN at this point after much lobbying from China and the rest of the communist nations 50 years ago to replace it with the PRC. That's a UN issue, not a WHO issue, and while I strongly disagree with the UN's handling of Taiwan, it's not the WHO keeping them out. You're implying that the UN itself is an extension of the PRC, which is just wrong.
So its really just the UN Health Organization? UNHO. Much better ring to it. The WHO's handling of Taiwan is a direct extension of China.

I envision it as one of two things:
1. A capitalistic coupling - both are out to earn money from opposite sides of the aisle. Their marriage is rock solid knowing that they don't care who they rile up, as long as they're in business. And in my best Lt. Aldo Raines impression: "Baby, business is a-boomin'!" They even laugh at how much money they make off of their media engagements and they plan their week on saying the opposite but never acknowledging each other's existence.
2. They absolutely hate each other and what the other stands for. A night in with the Conways is akin to having a blowout argument in a graveyard. Their children aren't even real.
Don't know which one is worse.

The top of the chain just generically says, for decades, "we will punish you if you say stuff we don't like".
The people at the bottom are left to guess what they might be punished for saying.
The top didn't necessarily, specifically say "don't talk about the new virus."
But once the bottom realized there was a new virus, they assumed they shouldn't talk about it.
So it's both.

Bill Gates is getting destroyed on Instagram.
Anti-lockdown protests are breaking out across the country. It's about time.
The mainstream media will do their best to ignore both.

My blood is boiling right now. I am a capitalist and believe in the free market system. However with that being said I just saw a report that really pisses me off.
The money from the last "stimulus" package intended to keep small businesses afloat has run out. Evidently some "small businesses" were able to apply for and get approved for loans, even though they really didn't need them. This includes things like hedge fund management businesses, law firms, etc. who still have cash flow and income (fees) that they still take in. The intent was to help the "beauty salon owner" or the "restaurant owner" to be able to keep people employed. Many of these businesses rely on small banks that don't get a lot of the funds available to them, and these businesses have 0 cash flow or income right now.
Meanwhile the democrats are holding up additional funding not for something like this, but because they want to insert money for their "pet projects" (vote buying). Somebody explain to me why it was important to give millions of dollars to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts which after receiving it they promptly laid off performers and workers.
The idiots in congress are trying to make us like Venezuela or even worse, like the USSR. Prepare to stand in line to buy your 1 allotted loaf of bread on the specific day that the government says.

I'd say it's a combination of idiots in congress on both sides of the aisle as well as jerks taking advantage of the capitalist-based system the US has cultivated.

Not to mention millions of people already filed for unemployment prior to getting their stimulus check and are now reaping the benefits from both. Its not a coincidence TV's are now on sale for $1,999.99.
The system is very broken. I know landlords that are having issues collecting rent from tenants and can't evict right now. The government only takes care of the people that depend on them.

That's what is slowly happening. Make people dependent on government rather than let them achieve on their own. Using a pandemic to turn us into a socialist nation is not good.

Neither my wife nor my boss got their loan, even though their applications were complete and on time.
So I'm with you.
I don't want to see pork attached to authorizing more PPP funds either.
But I also want to make sure no other state has an election like Wisconsin just did. We need to start making vote by mail available to everyone. And I don't say that to be partisan. Wisconsin's turnout was way way down, yet, in the only D vs R race on the ballot (state supreme Court), the Democrat won.

The issue is, the people you prefer to vote by mail are too freaking lazy to do what they need to do in order to actually vote by mail.

Lol, but so true. Ok, I’m all for by mail voting only. But I’m sure a “tweet” your vote will pop up in the future and then the tides will shift.

It's funny how some want to loosen voting criteria when it should be tightened. Proof of Life is a good start.
