I don't know Dr. Lapdapo and he's obviously well accomplished. He's also gotten himself in some trouble by faking some of this research and for his anti-vaxx positions that are likely going to cost him his professorship at UF. I think the mRNA vaccines are appropriate for high risk populations and what he's saying doesn't help those trying to serve those populations.
He'll land on his feet. He has a place in the RW grifter circuit for as long as he wants it now.

What are you implying here? The research and knowledge of reoublican doctors shouldn't be taken serious?

Not at all. Many if not most doctors are Republican. The one I sleep with certainly is. I am only saying that the FL surgeon general decided to make sucking up to DeSantis a higher priority than informing the public about settled science. By the way my wife agrees with me about this.

Comes down to money.
Lower top marginal tax rates, favorable treatment of pass thru corporations, having less folks on Medicaid.
When Dems talk about the rich paying their fair share, many doctors are in that group of "the rich".
I’ve been laid out for the 3rd time with this lab created virus. I’d love to spend 5 minutes in a room full of those labrats behind this [BLEEP] with a Louisville Slugger.

Dude, a car battery and a tub of water.
Have of any of noticed that there are still so many frauds committed with the usage of this virus? No wonder there have so many audits, like the
Qlarant audit.

I was talking to my stump grinder who has slowed down tremendously because tree services used PPP loans to buy their own (not cheap), when they used to sub that work out.
My old dentist also used PPP loan to buy new equipment and stiff his employees. My hygienist ended up leaving after being there decades.
So yes, I've noticed.
Yes, how dare he suggest that staying away from people during a pandemic is a good thing.

Actually I believe more doctors are Democrat than Republican. They may have been in the past when they basically ran as small business owners, but now are employees of larger institutions. Not that it really should make any difference in the care they provide.

In my experience (American born) males in surgical specialties and general practices (FP. IM) trend conservative while men in pediatrics and specialty medical practices (Endo. ID. Cardio) tend to be moderately liberal (of the crunchy granola type). American born women in all specialties trend very to extremely liberal, especially those who want to work part time and have children (weird dichotomy IMO). Both men and women in psych or other behavioral specialties are on the fruitcake end of the liberal spectrum, I don't think I've ever met a conservative in those practices. I know there are exceptions to all this, but it's just observational from 30 years of knowing them.

That is not at all what he said and you know it.

I think I'm going to get my PsyD.

Really? Have you chosen a program?

Kind of. I took a couple classes at UNF this semester to see what I liked or didn't like. Supposedly, they are opening up either a PsyD or School Counselor program in the next year or two. I was thinking of getting my master's in counseling, so I could use that to get into the PsyD program if that's the direction they go. If not, I could always help a person here or there. I'm not convinced one on one counseling is my thing, though. I'm kind of playing it by ear.
