Anthony Fauci will head into the new year as one of the highest-paid former federal employees in the nation.

But he won’t have the personal security detail that until recently burned even more taxpayer dollars.

The former COVID czar had been receiving security from the U.S. Marshals Service for the past two years, but he was recently pictured with what appears to be a private security guard outside of his home in Washington, D.C., after his Marshals entourage was disbanded, per a Monday report from the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

For the sake of argument imagine if it were true.  This would be a huge imposition to an incoming administration.  With the animosity between the parties would you be surprised if someday this actually did happen?

We've been monitoring H5N1 for almost 30 years. If the government does try to do something like that right now I believe the pushback from the Street and the Medical Profession would be significant. There's only 65 confirmed human cases and every one of those has a known trigger from contact with infected birds. This is just political bluster and not much more.
