I find it hard to believe the Steelers would let him go, but if they did, he goes to the top of my list.  The only negative is that I would prefer someone from the offensive side of the ball, but for him, I would make an exception.  Are people aware of this record?  He is in his 15th season as head coach in the NFL and has never had a losing season.  Even the GOAT, Bill Belichick, can't make that claim.  Tomlin's overall record is 151-84-2 or a .641 winning percentage including 9 playoff appearances in 14 years, 2 Super Bowls appearances and 1 Super Bowl win.  Think about it.  The Jaguars have nine losing seasons in the last 10.  Tomlin has zero.  This is a league based upon parity, but Tomlin keeps finding a way to keep his team winning.  He would bring instant credibility and stability to the team.  His experience and reputation would allow him to recruit an excellent staff.  He's also not even 50 years old, so he could be the coach here for the long run.  Again, I have my doubts that he will be available, but if he did, it would be wonderful.

Exactly, the homers suggesting Leftwich are grasping at straws for what amounts to another novelty pick and not a serious pick for a head coach, especially for a team that is starving for real and experienced NFL leadership.

No experience? Are you dense or do you just think a HC has to have previous head coaching experience? If so, where do the new head coaches come from? Try thinking before you speak bra.
I’d like seeing JDR back

It'd be a hoot.

Hell yeah! so we can live in mediocrity once again 9-8/8-9 seasons every year and a mediocre offense every year!! wooohooo!

It could be.  But hopefully for us not the rest of the league.  Even a. Great mind like his doesn’t necessarily translate into being the next Lombardi or Bilecheck.  But it’ll never happen.

Thank You ... I 100% agree, but posters will blame him for the lack of talent, and being mediocre. He got the most out of the players Shack gave him.  JDR coached teams were very competitive. Without a quarterback that had the talent of T-Law.  Imagine if you gave the Jaguars a high end Quarterback on JDR's coached team(s).  He just doesn't get the credit he is due. Take Brees off of Payton's NOS team ... What do you have? Del-Rio coached a less than mediocre roster into a hard win for any opponent. Straight up, I would take him over Tomlin, and I only say that because I think they compare pretty equally.

1 playoff win in 12 years... and only 3 years he went to the playoffs.

He is not better than Marvin Lewis.

You act like Brady is the only QB that Byron has ever worked with.

Accurate enough, although it'd be a pretty sizable step up compared to what we've seen the past 10+ years.

What the hell has he done for you to honestly think that Leftwich can be a head coach for any NFL team, let alone a team in utter disarray? Are you dense bra or do you just have a hard on for Mr. Wich?

Maybe we could get Nick Foles to coach.  After all, he's a Super Bowl MVP....right bra?
The more I look at tape I think Doug Pederson should get consideration, if not the job. He did a great job in Philly, of all of the candidates I think he might check the most boxes. Why don't more fans consider him the front runner?

Outside of this MB he seems pretty favored by Jags fans.

I’m yet to find good reason to oppose his hiring, personally.
I think McDaniels is my favorite option, but Pederson would be cool too. So would Leftwich and Moore. I'd find a way to be content with Bieniemy too. Of the top options everyone has named I think Caldwell is the only one I wouldn't want.

Is no one concerned that the Eagles kinda fell apart once Frank Reich left?
