If he really likes Leftwich, it seems like a big risk for Shad to wait a week like that. He may find that after that week, Leftwich has moved on to other opportunities.

It sounds like the pieces are starting to add up.
Would make sense why it's been so quiet from Byron and Wilson's camp. Why all of a sudden these new interviews are taking place, or being requested. The reports about us re-starting the coaching search. Why Khan took off on his yacht for a little cruise vacation.
Things seem to be lining up.

Well Leftwichs camp has been awfully quiet as well. I’ve heard Leftwich really wants this job and honestly, the other teams left aren’t as desirable as Jacksonville.
No one is really going to know anything until Friday (which has been the rumor).
I can’t wait for all this to be done. Pederson or Leftwich is fine by me but let’s get Baalke out the door and Spielman in.

I'm not even sure if it's "someone better." I think it's just finding someone close to as good of a candidate but actually willing to work with Trent
I'm gonna be a beacon of positivity here, and probably get hammered for it..... Lol. I think a good thing about this year as compared to last year's search is, they're leaving no stone unturned, and the rumors have uncovered a laundry list of candidates that, in the end, are almost all well liked throughout the league and all could find success in the future, possibly even here.... That's a welcome change from coaching searches in the past.

I hope so, but it's been like 9 or 10 days now since Shad left for vacation so they better hurry up.
I also don't know why we are supposed to believe Friday is when things are going down, supposedly everything was also supposed to go down Monday too and it was the quietest day of this whole cycle. Is there more to this other than one tweet that said they think we'll have a head coach by Friday?
