He did but was later informed Corky Rogers had actually died a few years ago. Apparently Khan thought that Corky could just recruit the best players from opposing teams as he had done at Bolles for ~ 30 years.
This does feel like we are waiting for the super bowl to get here before there is an announcement

Ian Rapoport reporting that Byron Leftwich will be interviewing with the Bears on Thursday or Friday. Hopefully we don't let him get away.

That's fine hire Doug P or Hackett

That's a good fit on paper. At least for Fields it looks good as I think Leftwich will actually commit to an identity on offense and build around Fields ability as a passer. My only concern with Leftwich being hired is his coaching staff. He's young. Curious what his coaching network would enable him to pull into the NFL or around the NFL. Especially on defense.
Larry Foote? Cody Grimm?

42 is young? When did that happen? 'Cause I'm 36.... guess I'm a spring chicken. YES! Time to go after 20 year olds.

That's the way I feel, too. If he likes the Bears better, then that's the better situation for him.

Leftwich could hire JDR as his DC and Asst HC .... LOL
On hard knocks it seem to be the Colts organization was very professionally run. Having a coach from that organization might not necessarily be a bad thing

They sure were ready in week 18, especially on defense.

If we do hire him I just hope that Cullen stays to run the defense. The worst possible scenario would be to hire this guy and then let go of Cullen. I'd honestly rather promote Cullen to HC than hire Eberflus

This, their defense has underperformed with all the talent it has
The positive with bringing in Eberflus is that he would likely bring in Dobbs with him for GM
