The way I see it, Leftwich/Wilson has the higher ceiling, Pederson/Caldwell has the higher floor.  I think the WORST we can do under Pederson/Caldwell is competent which is a big jump from what we’re used to.  I’d still take Byron/Wilson though.
If we get pederson or caldwell i think he can push baalke out. If they want to. I don't think byron has the leverage that they do as far as HC experience on there resume.
I think Baalke is out after the draft if Pederson and Caldwell come in.

He is my favorite choice.  I am not a fan in bringing in a first time head coach into this Jaguars mess.  I want a guy who has built a program and had previous knowledge how to do so.   Pederson has a Superbowl win to back up his way of doing things.

If we score Pederson I would have 0 issues.

Caldwell also is a very good choice.  He made the trashy lions relevant

Not a fan of coaches that so obviously, tank games.

Unless you get Baalke completely out of the building, he will find a way to snake his way back into making critical decisions. That guy is a weasel and cannot be trusted. The cancer needs to be completely removed or it will just keep coming back.

I feel the same way. Until he's gone, nothing they do can be trusted. Caldwell seems like too nice of guy to control a guy like Baalke.

They're looking to reel in Pederson by the end of tomorrow as well.

That would be very interesting, as long as Caldwell has a designated food taster in the executive lunchroom.

He is a known leaker also. You can't include him in meetings unless you are trying to get him to leak something so you can bring the axe down on his neck. He can't have access to anything because he will start using any decisions that don't turn out good to start undermining the leadership.

It certainly doesn't look like a good match.

Jim Caldwell believes strongly in collaboration.  I've yet to see anyone describe Trent Baalke even remotely along those lines.
I’d be ok with Caldwell and Pederson. But would I be asking too much if Leftwich was HC and Pederson/ fangio we’re OC/dc instead? That would be the La rams type of model on the coaching staff.

Multiple records. Another one being the most ineptitude displayed by a franchise in NFL history
Well it looks like Pederson is heating up. Feel bad for leftwitch. He really wanted this job, and the fans really wanted him as coach. I dont know.

But the thing is, Pederson doesn’t want Baalke either.

So they’ll fire Baalke for Pederson but not Byron?

Why? That makes zero sense.

Yeah, we will find out soon.

He didn't want Baalke, but he also thought he was a much hotter candidate league wide than he wound up being. Is this him tucking his tail and cowering back to us with different demands this time? I sure hope not, and if it is then he instantly becomes unacceptable as well.

I've never liked Bevell's offenses anywhere he has coached. They are so vanilla and unimaginative.

Russell Wilson and Matt Stafford would beg to differ. But what do they know compared to your high IQ for football?

This was a nice thought before we just watched coach Bevels unbelievably bad play calling all season.

The best offensive game we played, Bevell wasn't even the OC.  Bevell wasn't even calling plays that last game against the Colts.

As if any accurate description could me made while the total program was being run by the unmitigated disaster named Urban Meyer.
Once he was gone, the team started to loosen up and play good ball.
