Been getting that sense after nothing was broke news wise after the last home game. There was no other reason to keep him around after that unless you had zero intentions of letting him go. Khan clearly has not learned his lesson from the Bradley/Caldwell experience. 

I don't give a [BLEEP] anymore. Again, it's his team. He owns it. It's on him at the end of the day. When the little bit of fans that he has in this city decide not to renew their tickets and he can look at a sea of empty teal seats. And they're floundering with a defensive minded head coach that got schooled with the playoffs on the line last year in week 18 after Baalke failed to address anything offensively in March and April again. And they're 1 - 7 or 0 - 8 by the beginning of November this year?

I thought the assumption since the clown thing started settling down was that the new HC would get to decide Baalke's fate right away. If the new HC has to keep Baalke through their all important first FA period and draft then that firmly plants us dead last on the HC opening rankings.

Yeah. It's pretty odd. Khan must have a kink or something with having his ex mistresses watch his new mistresses in the act with a potential new mistress or ex mistress. I know none of that makes sense. It's not supposed to. Because none of this makes sense in reality.

I’m getting the sense that Tony is ready to clean house and start over but maybe Shad isn’t totally set on that?

I still think the new HC will be the one deciding Baalke and if it’s Hackett/Byron, Baalke is gone.

I’m tired of all the rumors and unsubstantiated conjecture. We get who we get and judging from the last ten years it won’t be the ideal candidates at HC or GM even though better candidates were available.

What happened to Pederson? Early in he was one of our top guys. Did he have a bad interview or did he say he didn't want Baalke?

At this point. As Homebiscuit pointed out. It's hard to believe anything that's been reported now at this point. I guess the point of my reply was, to make a point that there's no point in any longer waiting on Khan to get to the point because all signs point in the opposite direction of anything we want as a fan base.

I’m actually loving it.

The off season is the best part as a Jags fan! All the rumors have been pretty interesting to me. At the end of the day, as fans, we have no control over who gets hired but I’m here for this ride (as long as it’s not BoB).

Sometimes I wish the media was so bad at reporting that they wake up tomorrow and say something like. "Wait, actually, our apologies, Baalke was fired three weeks ago and Khan actually hired the penguin from Happy Feet to be his stand in during the interview process...wait..wait...wait...we're wrong. That actually IS Baalke and he's just really good at dancing around losing his job".

Who knows?  I'm not even sure I'll watch the NFL if I give up on the jags.  Although I do like Joe Burrow a lot, and Pat Mahomes went to my college.  Watching other teams just isn't the same, though.

I did too for a while, but it seems like things are progressing as always which indicates we're in for another disappointing compromise. This team seems to even be exempt from the blind squirrel concept. At least for the last 10 years.

Agreed. If I had to follow a team other than the Jaguars, Joe Burrow and the Bengals are going to be something special to watch in the coming years.

I just don't know if I can be as much of a homer as you. If Shad still forces Baalke on/hires only the candidates that will keep him around after all of the clown stuff and the complete derision of damn near literally every person in the professional football industry then it's going to be a very tough test of my fandom. We do not just have to learn to accept it.

Mismanagement is a baked in feature of Jaguars fandom. It comes with the territory.

Bengals (Love Burrow, Chase, Hendrickson)
Vikings (although I think they are a mess too but not as bad as the Jags)
Dallas (some relatives are fans and I am a fan of some of their players)
Bills (I am a fan of Allen)

Always liked the Ravens but their fans are so annoying when talking about Lamar, they act as if he is the best QB right now.

I might not switch right away but if they keep Baalke I am gonna try to at least have one of those as a #2 team
