As if any accurate description could me made while the total program was being run by the unmitigated disaster named Urban Meyer.
Once he was gone, the team started to loosen up and play good ball.

Hahaha no, the team was still garbage with Bevell.

No one wants him, he sucks.

So they’ll fire Baalke for Pederson but not Byron?

You’re missing the point.

By refusing to fire Baalke for over a month, they limited the pool of candidates. Now they have other teams leftovers (including Pederson who literally no one wanted) to decide on.

Regardless if you want Pederson or Byron or whoever, the situation was fumbled from the jump if you end up firing Baalke now.

Don’t get me wrong. I want him fired. But it should have been done a long time ago and the Jags have essentially wasted the entire interview process.

If they end up firing Baalke for Pederson but not Byron, that makes them look even dumber.

The best offensive game we played, Bevell wasn't even the OC.  Bevell wasn't even calling plays that last game against the Colts.

You really should learn about the team before you post.
I’m starting to fear we just end up keeping Bevell

Man if they fire Baalke and hire someone other than Byron that will prove Shad has the most fragile ego of all time.

"I know I made the wrong choice keeping the most hated man in the sport, but I can't hire Byron because he gave me an ultimatum and my ego can't handle that."

I'm having trouble imagining how a franchise can sell a team coming off the year we had with the worst record in the league with "The exact same GM & Interim HC and way less assistants, particularly the few good coaches we had"

Is Shad intentionally doing a "Trust the Process" Tank to try and jumpstart a rebuild with 3 straight #1 picks? Because that seems like where we're headed if we actually make 0 changes to the leadership.

Wasn't Pederson the first guy we hired?  They maybe declined when Pederson didnt want to work with Baalke and thought they could get another candidate they really like and keep Baalke.  They might of finally figured out that nobody wants to work with Baalke so now they decide to fire him for the candidate they wanted all along.  If you decide to fire him go back to your top guy
Pederson has been my favorite candidate since last year, and I am glad he is still available and, if this report is to be believed, still in the runningfor the Jaguars HC job.

But this head coach search has been such a roller coaster ride, I am not getting too excited until he is actually named HC.

If you are talking to me, I watched every min of every game including preseason this year. I've learned enough and dont want to see a repeat of this horrendously historically bad offense.  It's not all his fault, but a lot of it was. Hes the play caller and the buck stops with him.

Lmao?  Why anyone other than Byron?  Pederson was the first one that turned them down because of Baalke, allegedly.  It would be idiotic to fire Baalke for first time guy trying to become HC Byron but not for the SB winning HC who was you top guy at the beginning of the search.  Go get the guy you wanted in the first place now if you decide to fire Baalke

Pederson was one of the first candidates to be interviewed because he was currently out of the league and at that time you could only interview people without jobs.

There was nothing about him being their top candidate. The fact that it took them 33 days for a 2nd interview says they weren't all that interested, or why wouldn't he be brought back in a lot sooner?

Because only one person stood up to Khan at this point and that was Byron.

Also. There is no indication that Pederson was their top guy at all.

If he really was, why didn’t they fire Baalke right after Pedersons interview when they realized Pederson didn’t want to work with Baalke?

I wasn't. Reading the imbedded quote would tell you that.
I watched every game as well and easily noticed a change for the better once Meyer was removed from the equation.
Not only that, but this year wasn't about wins and losses as it was about developing Trevor. He made many mistakes you'd expect from a rookie, but by and large he was making big strides in his growth that will make him so much more prepared for the future.

It was rumored that Pederson turned it down because he wanted more roster control.  Obviously he stood up to him too. Nobody knows who there top guy is but Pederson was the first guy they went right after.  Look at the post above.  They maybe wanted to keep Baalke and they thought they could find someone to work with him.  Now it looks like nobody wanted to work with him so it only makes since to go to your top guy if you are gonna fire him or demote him
Everyone: No team could [BLEEP] up worse than the Browns at hiring personnel lol

Shad Khan: Hold my beer.

I see. Well,
It was all bad except the colts game after Myer was gone.a Fresh start is needed. It would have been nice to keep Cullen though. I give you credit for your conviction on bevel there.

Absolutely right...otherwise why would they risk losing their preferred candidate to another team?

That said, they could end up getting this hire right almost in spite of themselves.

The Browns are still pretty pathetic.

Money talks, and possibly Khan will give him more roster control

Thanks. And hey, Cullen is still available. I think the Ravens and Colts interviewed him, but no hire was made. We could keep him.
