And thinking like this is how Shad gets away with it.
I don't know guys... i cannot even get in the same ballpark with all this talk about jumping teams. i'm with em till the end... even if Baalke is still around (which i am pounding the table at) to get rid of.
Yeah. There is no jumping ship. Go jags
Shad is really trying to make a lot of us jump straight into the arms of these Bengals.

Bengals (Love Burrow, Chase, Hendrickson)
Vikings (although I think they are a mess too but not as bad as the Jags)
Dallas (some relatives are fans and I am a fan of some of their players)
Bills (I am a fan of Allen)

Always liked the Ravens but their fans are so annoying when talking about Lamar, they act as if he is the best QB right now.

I might not switch right away but if they keep Baalke I am gonna try to at least have one of those as a #2 team

This is what it was like for me the first half of my life.  I lived in south Georgia.  Atlanta was my team.  But they always sucked (except the Bartkowski years).  So I always had a #2 team to root for that was actually good.  Flavor of the year.  Cowboys.  Bears. Giants.  Niners.  Whoever was good and star players I liked.  And then the Jaguars came to be.  I didn't have to be a Falcons fan anymore!  It's like going from one abusive relationship to the next...

You are a band wagon jumper then. I don't know how you can jump around to so many teams and still tell people your loyal.

At this point. As Homebiscuit pointed out. It's hard to believe anything that's been reported now at this point. I guess the point of my reply was, to make a point that there's no point in any longer waiting on Khan to get to the point because all signs point in the opposite direction of anything we want as a fan base.

Point 1 - Khan
Point 0 - Jaguars Fanbase

No info will be coming from inside the Jags as it's really against their interests for the general world to know their current thinking in detail.  All the leaking will be coming from various managers and agents trying to influence the outcomes of this hiring and others.  Make the Bears think that Kahn is desperate for your guy and you may squeeze a couple of extra concessions, etc.  One of these rumours will end up being right but when every possibility is predicted then one has to be correct.

At best half the rumours are pure guesses. The remainder are intentional leaks to influence the media narratives, overwhelmingly false.
I grew up in Cincinnati, so I have an excuse if I needed it. But I'm here until the end.

I live in Lexington 45 minutes south. My entire family is Bengals fans. I was in the stadium when McPherson walked it off against us a few months ago. Shad is really trying his best.

How can I have had so many #2 teams?  Because I was a Falcons fan.  Until I wasn't.  Circa 1995.  I've been a Jags fan ever since.  I don't know how what I said was hard to understand.  As a football fan, I like football.  If you hate every other team all time, that's on you.  I don't think that's the way most sports fandoms work.

Jacksonville could very easily be the next Arizona or Cincinnati of the NFL in a year or two.

If Khan gets the next hire right....[Image: addd790a3b9983c983aa3375ecddbaf1.gif]

I said that back in 1993, when the team first came into existence, but now it's 2022. I've spend spend endless hours rooting for this team, watching games and have spent probably tens of thousands of dollars over the decades, buying Jaguar merchandise. All that time and money to watch this team make the same mistakes over and over and over and expecting a different result. You get to a point where it just gets exhausting and hopelessness sets in when you see the team failing to change the same losing formula they've had for the past decade. I get why people would jump ship. Being a Jaguars fan is like being in an abusive relationship. At some point you have to say enough is enough.

And ditches Baalke. If Baalke stays nothing gets better.
No one is talking about jumping ship, but I might take a break till Shad gets his head out of his a**. If Baalke is retained, I am pulling a Rob Lowe till there are real changes.
I won't jump ship. Jacksonville is my home. Would be a [BLEEP] thing to do on my part.

If the team ever moves though I am wiping my [BLEEP] clean with my gear, burning it and then washing my hands clean of the NFL for good.

This is exactly what I would do. Given Khan's history though, I might be away for a while.

Unfortunately, that is true; but it is getting hard to cheer for a team set up to fail before they even take the field.

I think I get the Rob Lowe reference, but I'm not sure.

Maybe him being at a game sporting an "NFL" hat?
