Something doesn't add up here.

It's not necessarily that; it could be that Leftwich is all but hired and turning down other interviews.

But again, I wouldn't bet on it. My impression is the most likely scenario is Khan and Baalke restarted the search. But again, it's dead silence from both the building and Leftwich camp. So at this point my source(s) have said it's all useless speculation. For whateber reason, the leaks went full stop.

For whatever reason, the leaks have mostly stopped. And Leftwich's camp is DEAD silent. No statements, no interviews, nothing. It could be because he is all but hired, or he is waiting to stay in Tampa should Brady change his mind.

But like y'all, I am very incredulous that Khan actually is doing that. I think they are just scrambling at this point to find a warm body to prop up Baalke, and it is beyond pathetic.
Maybe Leftwich intended to bring Foote with him but the Jags want an experienced coach to pair with Leftwich in his first year (like McVay with PHillips).

FWIW. Saints lined up coaching interviews and Leftwich wasn’t one of them.

Again, think about Khan and Baalke and their recent track record. I've been told when people tell you who they are by their words and deeds, you should believe them the first time.

I will be stunned if Leftwich is the HC of the Jags.
The more this drags out. The slimmer the chances become of them getting the right guy. The scary part is that it's February tomorrow and free agency starts in six weeks.

Baalke will not be fired. He's made himself a fixture because it's his roster. So, maybe demoted if anything. But, certainly not fired. He'll have to be here at some capacity to help with roster evaluation, cap spending and cap saving decisions.

I would be happy with Brian Flores at this point. Just because he's an [BLEEP] and I think he'll push Baalke off a [BLEEP] cliff if he has to in his 2nd chance at this.

It's always the same. It's just a shame. That's all.

And Khan keeps dragging this out. Its Monday and crickets... I swear, I think he forgets he is an owner of an NFL football team and thinks maybe this is some English soccer club. What a dolt.
2022 draft hasn’t even happen yet and I’m already looking at top 5 2023 prospects. Thanks Khan.

If the soccer club doesn't succeed they get relegated and he misses out on tens of millions of dollars a year. If the NFL team doesn't succeed he is guaranteed millions of dollars in profit purely from the TV deals and the franchise value goes up by hundreds of millions a year.

That is the entire reason.

Fulham (his team) have made some questionable managerial appointments in their time too don't worry

Out of curiosities sake. Why would you be embarrassed by others actions or lack there of that are of no direct affiliation to you?
