"I wonder why Trevor doesn't have more passing TDs"

I mean your point is moot. Hurts has 22(15 passing) [BLEEP] touchdowns, .19... .01 = 13 TD difference. You're still wondering?? Detroit at .25 still Goff having 7 more TDs, same record. Let's keep trying fellas, it is absolutely no wonder why we run so much down in the red area. If you could just pull Trevor's taint from the back of your throats and allow oxygen into your brain, it is clear.

The reason he has 9 total TDs(4 in the redzone) is simple, he's been bad in the red zone and ETN is the clear cut best player on offense. I commend Doug P for 1 - using our best player like a smart coach would and 2 - not making Trevor look bad/talking down on his QB in the media.  There is no questioning, Trev does great from 20 to 20. HOWEVER, inside the 20, he's awful this year. It's not even a debate. 52% completion rate, 2 turnovers, 4 Tds in 23 attempts. Jalen Hurts with 7 more attempts has doubled his TDs and the same amount of turnovers. Gardner Minshew has been better than Trev in the redzone this year, lol.

Look at most of the teams at the top, their best player/s are QB/WRs with meh run games. Trevor is the second fiddle on this team, the afterthought, the game manager. Move the chains, but dear god get the ball out of his hands when we're close. The interception down in the red area 2 weeks ago is a clear example. He's just not an elite QB atm. He's been "good", nothing more.

FOR FUN, of the 47 eligible QBs in the NFL, there are the guys with the same or less TDs than Trevor in the red zone.

Zach Wilson
Kenny  Pickett
Tyson Bagent (Backup)
Anthony Richardson (injured)
Daniel Jones (Injured)
Ryan Tannehil (Injured and backup)

Trevor has 4 TDs in the red zone per your own post.

Jameis Winston, Dorian, Malik, Brian Hoyer, and Hall don’t have a single passing touchdown this whole season.  Not more or equal to Trevor. Dalton has only 2 this year, same with Tannehill.  huntley and O’Connell one.

Absolutely idiotic post.

And we’re 6-2 and Trevor has the 2nd most 100+ PR games behind Mahomes.

YES! It is awesome we are 6-2, I would argue that is in large part due to our world class head coach, top 5 run game, and the defense playing out of their minds this year. Trevor is not the reason, he has helped more than hurt, he moves the ball well.. But when we need to score, he isn't ASKED to because we have better options. IF we NEEDED Trevor to score to win, I would hate to see the results. I severely doubt we have even 4 wins currently.

I do, and for the record you private messaging me and implying I have Down syndrome and a learning disability makes you a coward.
You specifically stated that those players had equal or less to Trevor in the red zone. Many of those players do NOT equal to even 4 overall passing touchdowns this year. Some of those players played this year for the first time, so don’t try to wiggle out of it by saying you meant all time statistics because that still makes you factually incorrect on some of those players.

I corrected more to equal or less. That was a typo on my part. Many of those players do not have equal passing touchdowns to Lawrence in the red zone. Regardless, his post was “cleverly” trying to lump Trevor in a category of bottom basement dwelling QBs and he missed the mark.

EDIT: he can’t mean adding rushing red zone touchdowns in either because that still makes him wrong on some of those players. Try again
Trevor has had multiple games where he has proved clutch
Take ravens game last year as a example
Do we all wish Trevor would have thrown 20 TDs up to this point? Of course!

But my god. The Jags are 6-2. Who cares?! Trevor is continuing to make elite level throws every game. The TDS will come and even if they don’t, I’m still giving him the bag.

And go check out Peyton and Lucks 2nd seasons (and yes. I’ll continue to not count the disaster that was Urban Meyer). They both didn’t light the world on fire. 26 TD passes in year 2 for Manning and 23 for Luck.

He has only outplayed the bottom of the basement players in the red zone. That is literally the entire point of my post of actual data proving Trevor has been playing poorly in the red zone.

Yeah! Like against the Saints when he...... scored a go ahead TD. Or wait! Against the Ravens where he..... oh he scored a game winning TD and 2pt. Then the Cowboys when he totally..... led a 2nd half comeback to force OT.

Yeah, he's a total liability. If we NEEDED Trevor to win it, he's completely capable. Does that mean he'll win it every time? Of course not. But come on man, to say we can't rely on Trevor to win it for us? Complete [BLEEP].

Ya know, It's a real sign of intelligence when someone brings to people PROVABLE DATA to defeat most of your silly narratives that Trevor is a top tier QB.  The entire point of this place existing is to discuss our opinions...no? "Idiotic Post" - Coming from a guy who likely uses text-to-speech to post here because they provably can't actually read.
"No sense in arguing with an idiot"

Even Nick Wright, today, the biggest Trevor apologist in the world, said he is 5th, Trading Allen out for Trevor in the realm of Hurts, Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar, Allen(he has NO business in this tier of QBs btw).. That is the guy who brings trumpeters on his show for Trevor.

Even with Trevor's redzone statistics, I concede he is fringe top 10/12 this year and there's clearly time left to clean up his redzone play.... What's so bad about that? Just because I want to keep it real about the guy(like most people with any idea what they are looking at), and push back to actual asinine takes on here that he is elite, I get name called. It's hilarious in the saddest way possible. I get this is a Jags forum but good lord, if all you guys want is an echo chamber then the second someone disagrees with you just have a mod ban them. That way the user count can dip to ~10 but at least you all can circle jerk your amazing takes, real talk.

I’m not going to argue a single point you’ve made; however, when the game is on the line as the play clock winds down do you trust Trevor to win or not?  I do, stats be damned!
You can't argue the eye test to a guy who is only concerned with stat lines and cherry picked ones at that. We dealt with this same thing from another poster during Trevor's ascension his 1st and 2nd years. Stats are important, but aren't everything in a game where there are 21 other guys on the field at the same time. They are a piece of the puzzle, not the entire puzzle.

Football is the ultimate team sport. This isn't baseball where comparing batting averages is an apples to apples comparison between players and tracing the error on a given play is part of the recorded stats of a game, season and career. Any number of things can happen on a given football play caused by any one or more of those other 21 players on the field that affects the play. Again, it's not that football stats don't tell you anything, they just don't tell you everything. Use your eyes.

Has Trevor reached his full potential yet? Not likely, but he's easily higher than 10th to 12th best in the league right now. Laughably so.

Who cares? 106 pages of people who cares. And I couldn't be happier we are 6-2. If "Who cares" is your take, delete the account then? Stop posting in this thread? Why contribute?

Ya know, It's a real sign of intelligence when someone brings to people PROVABLE DATA to defeat most of your silly narratives that Trevor is a top tier QB.  The entire point of this place existing is to discuss our opinions...no? The best argument I have seen so far to my stats is "who cares" btw.. Oh, and the best arguments against so far today are as follows:

"Herp Derp"
"Garbage person"

If you equate someone posting to them having Down syndrome, then you’re a garbage person.

Sorry to hurt your feelings though! Have a great night being grumpy about Trevor being elite.

10-12 is hilarious.

And I’m sure he has Herbert ranked ahead of him…..
