In fact one of the posters immediately posted in the WC game thread after Trevor’s first INT after mysteriously posting sparingly at all the prior weeks. And promptly had egg in their face.

Those are who we are referring to. If you only come here after bad days from the kid, sorry, you are relishing it and basically trolling

Yep. I may think your opinion is incorrect and crow might have been deserved at some moments, but I’ll at least credit you for sticking around
Lol all I've seen from you is negative communication

It's okay the call out your concerns but when you sit there and have a meltdown... They're the worst team in the league...oh my god Trevor sucks This guy sucks... We're going 1-15 and then when they make a plays you turn around... Have a winning season... they're like we're going to the super bowl.... Those are people we're talking about

Are you kidding? I’ve been one of Trevor’s biggest supporters and admitted when I was wrong
2 big Ridley drops, 2 Ridley False Starts, Agnew Fumble, Blocked FG, Missed FG, Hands to the face by Scherff ending a new set of downs, Kick off return for a TD, Multiple illegal formation penalties...

All Lawrence's fault btw LOL!!

Yeah that they fell apart on every level. I don’t even think Lawrence necessarily had a bad game. Ridley folded and completely cracked when they needed him most. One of first drops was a dime to him that was a contested catch but hit only him the hands and had him falling into the endzone.

Single [BLEEP] ups like that swung momentum so much. To me Calvin looked absolutely defeated. Like a guy who was playing banged up and just wasn’t all there. That concerned me more than anything I saw from Trevor, play calling, or the ST blunders. Guys like him ride the highs and lows to extremes. When they are up they are one of the best at what they do. When they are down, they are unrecognizable.

Don’t forget our #1 pick overall has 1 sack in his first 3 games of the 2023 season.

He's severely limited since he can't overcome those issues. You can't make this [BLEEP] up, you have to see the nonsense on here for yourself.

Of course! That's how their logic works. But it's a team result when we win!

Ridley was brought in to make plays like this. He was awful Sunday.

Trevor was still in his bag but the WRs let him down.
Through 3 weeks Trevor is ranked as the #2 QB in the league according to pff, behind Tua. So anyone in here complaining about his play is directing their anger in the wrong direction. His recievers have been abysmal. All ranking well into the lower half of the league.

There's 3 plays yesterday where he completetly missed a  wide open Kirk.

Sure he had good throws that had drops but he wasn't in his "bag" yesterday.

Can you show the plays you’re referencing?

Also. He was still making elite level throws with pressure in his face but they were dropped.

He wasn’t perfect but he still had all the throws at his disposal.
I'm still not anti-Trevor. I want him to succeed. And I want him to make some smarter decisions and stop trying to force it so much.

How many of those 3 did he have a clean enough pocket. Because one of the 3 I saw he noticed Kirk but had two defenders in his face that would have knocked the ball down so he had to run.

I’m not saying he’s behind the issues the offense is having but that rating doesn’t pass the smell test. He’s clearly had occasions where his decision making is a step slow. I think it’s probably due to him trying to do to much but could also be that he’s been locking on to Ridley way more than he should be.

Exactly.
I hope everyone on this thread who is bashing Lawrence and saying he hasn’t escalated to 1st pick status is watching burrow and the offense for Cincinnati tonight.

People think that franchise qbs look like hall of famers  every time they hit the field..

great qbs play great enough for you to be in every game with an at least above average team

With a bad team even hall of famers look bad.

Last week we were a bad team across the board. And Trevor lawerence still didn’t look bad … just good to above average….

Did he look like mahomes scrambling and throwing across his body and throwing left handed no… but if that’s what you are waiting for you will be disappointed for the rest of your life …. Those are once in a lifetime type player

Bottom line is we have a really really good one. Maybe even great … and  A really really good one who has improved a lot … but right now he is getting no help and has an handful of mistakes… but  less mistakes than I have seen burrow make so far.

Tony Boselli said that catch would have swung the momentum of the game. That's pretty obvious but it sounds better when a Hall of Famer says it.

I'm not sure what qualifies as "bashing", but some here are overly defensive and take ANY criticism of Trevor's play as just that.  The "elite" moniker got tossed around quite a bit earlier in this thread and his play so far has yet to support it.  As you said about last week "just good to above average"

Comparing his stats to those of Burrow, or anyone else, over just three games is fairly meaningless.  Far better to take an objective look at his actual play, did he spot the open receiver, deliver the ball accurately, make the best decision, etc.

I think he's good now, I hope he develops into elite.

He's off to a shaky start this season in some regard - and this line might make it tough for him all year.  But I'd wager he'll log enough "elite" level performances this year to ink a huge deal in the offseason that we Jags fans will look back on as a wise move when we are deciding what to wear to the Super Bowl parade at some point in the next decade.

It's fair to have your stance. Totally fair.

I just don't have a problem embracing the fact that his (already displayed) upside is better than anything we've seen on a Jags roster at QB.  Ever. Get him a line and you'll get the consistency you seek. Until then it may be a bit erratic at times.
