You're also on record saying that if Trevor had a better offensive line, he'd look a lot better.  So you're blaming other players just as much as other people are.

So really, if we put everyone on the record, what is Trevor right now, and what will he be in the future, I don't think there'd be that much of an argument.  So I don't know why this particular argument goes on and one and on.  Probably it's "I'm only arguing because he's arguing."  "No, I'm only arguing because he's arguing."

CJ Stroud was never a "generational" talent until he got to the League. Lawrence was crowned as a freshman in college.

CJ is better in every single category in his first year than Trevor is in his third. He's smarter (even with the lowest Wonderlic in his draft class - I bet Trevor's was lower) he's more accurate and he's not an idiot when throwing a 5 yard pass he doesn't put all his throwing force into it. So no drops for INTs.

Trevor is a HUGE disappointment compared to what all the national pundits claimed he was.

He will never be mentioned in the same breath as the greats.

He will just be a starting QB.

I think Trevor is going to be a great QB.  Get him an offensive line and a running game, and he'll be a lot better.  I do think right now, if I had to bet one would wind up better than the other, I would bet on Stroud.  Stroud is pretty amazing.  But Trevor can still be great, even if he's not as great as Stroud.

Life doesn't move in a straight line.  Remember that.
That is a sober and accurate take. Stroud is on course to be the next Mahomes. We need Trevor at least crack, the top five eventually, even if he’s not in the top two.

Chiefs lead league in drops, we are not even top 10.

We had 26 drops

They had 44.

He can be great, that's a fair opinion. But to claim he will be based on the evidence is just inaccurate.

YOU are the one who says "YABUT, not enough TD passes".  16 is a lot of missed TD's, is it not?   I see a lot of elite throws being wasted right there to teams that we lost to.   But keep moving the goal posts.

Weird how most of the teams that have far more drops than we do, are.. in the playoffs.

What percent of the drops on the other teams were either TD's or 3rd down throws that would have been 1st downs?

Not weird at all when you consider they can run the football and play better defense. Not sure why people can't seem to grasp that concept. It's still a team sport. Sure, the QB gets all the glory most of the time.

However, Houston and Green Bay won their games yesterday with just 21 pass attempts being needed from their QB's respectively. Lawrence simply doesn't have that luxury. Matter of fact, his lowest attempt per game last season was 29.

"Here, Trev, we're in a deep hole, and you're the only shovel we have to get ourselves out of it, Goodluck big guy!".

I can only imagine that CJB rubbed his palms bloody anticipating this very conversation.

Tends to happen when your Qb is able to score quick and often and gets benched because it's a blowout.

More of a face palm due to the lack of clues this fanbase has about a player they supposidly watch every week. I guess all the Alcohol y'all drink on game day dosen't help.

None of us want Trevor to fail.

Why? To go online and tell 20 people that, no offense, don't matter that they were right?

We are Jags fans! Please be elite next year Trevor.

But when a rookie who was meh enough for the panthers to trade their pick away to get someone else outplays your generational QB, you gotta start being real about him.

Does he suck? No. He's just not top 10 and probably won't be. He doesn't have the "it" factor with his decisions.

Or when your team plays good defense and runs the football effectively enough to where you can't send six guys up his [BLEEP] on every pass attempt. Keep beating your broken drum though.

This isn't a political debate bruh, it's not one side or the other.

Our team has many flaws, Trevor makes his own mistakes just like the rest. I'm not even blaming him for anything, I know our team collapsed because our D got exposed. But i'm also not giving him elite QB credit for surfing through a bunch of wins on the back of 25 turnovers and pretty solid defensive play.

Who is saying Lawrence is elite? I rarely see that being thrown around here. Even from the diehard faithful's here that prowl routinely. It feels more like you're building your own strawman and then gas lighting it yourself for the fun of it.

Clearly a lot of fans believe that if they take issue in me pointing out he's a flawed QB and hasn't played well when the video evidence and stats all support what i'm saying.

Yea obviously I want the QB of my favorite team to really suck, I just really enjoy watching us get our backs blown out on TV 17 times a year.. it's awesome.. man remember the draft? I wanted us to take Zach Wilson so bad it woulda made this a lot easier damn..
