Shoulder surgery is the last thing of concern right now.

Do you not read other people's posts?

People forget there is life other than football. If that is a Tua like concussion, and I am Trevor .... DUECES to the NFL. Not worth it. He got paid, go be with your family. That is my opinion IF that's a tua like concussion. Which is a big IF right now and we will see.

I think Tua is a moron for playing, he's a hit away from being a vegetable and regardless is going to have some dicey brain function later in life.

People who aren't capable of playing in the NFL think that way.

Maybe you're right? Worked in a memory care unit for a couple years, witnessed first had hundreds of patients with dementia, that can be accelerated with concussions. Losing brain function is one of the saddest things in life imo. Weird comment, but ok.

The "weird" way to think is pretty simple, only those with the capability to play in the NFL understand what it costs and what price they are willing to pay to do it. That's why people who can't do it so easily talk about how they should just give it up. They have no idea what it costs because they aren't even remotely capable of paying it.

Yeah we just aren't going to agree at all lol.
It’s only his second concussion. He’s not quite to Tua level yet. Should the scans come clear and he clears protocol he will eventually be playing again hopefully next season.

I think being told the price and having to pay the price can be two different things. It probably doesn't become real, until it does. No telling how some will react to it, and that was my point with TL. Young, new father, priorities can change quick.

This whole conversation is like poor people telling rich people how they have to spend their money.
Classic fencing posture suggests brain trauma.

Trevor might now be one more concussion away from retiring.

This was my entire concern before I got called poor for my opinion.
Michael Strahan just said it looked intentional to him because of how Al-Shaair led with his elbow.

Honestly I’m not really accustomed to calling people out and being personal.

But this is complete and utter second hand ‘alpha’ bull**** plenty of people who were capable of playing in the NFL have retired early due to the effect on their body, Andrew Luck, Calvin Johnson and Chris Borland come to mind just off the top of my head.

Honestly if you don’t think that guy is thinking of not playing if that injury is as serious as it looked you’re delusional.

In his defense, FSG has never been a proponent of letting other people make their own decisions about their bodies.

I kid. I kid.
Honestly, if Trevor decides to hang it up after that hit. We as a franchise deserve it. We’d have ruined the best QB prospect we’ve ever had by inaction/incompetence and it’s exactly what Shad/Jax deserves in that situation.

As fans, no we don’t. But organizationally they do.

That being said, I hope Trevor continues to play for a good coach and has a long, healthy, successful career here.
Young people do things all the time that get them later in life. No one gives a flip about all the veterans that sacrifice. My knees are shot, my back is screwed and yet I would have served anyway. I am blessed that I didn't get anything blown off.

This team has bigger problems than those that are out on the field.

Same. He pulled a Doug Pederson on us, we just wouldn't understand.
That hit had me fired up at the game today. Wish they could have rallied and won the game for him. Liked the energy the team exuded and put out there with the brawl.

Just fired up after that. He'll be fine. He'll be back. We just need to get that kid a real general manager and head coach.
