I mean my goodness … on tank dells two deep balls they were complete busts ! No safety in the middle of the field corner outside leverage so he can just run a skinny post and completely get behind the defense ? Are we serious? And the TD what the heck have we never played a bunch set before ?

Multiple other receivers with no one in the vicinity and 0 pressure on a Backup o line ?

Watch stroud will end up looking like every other rookie QB for most of the rest of the year ….

We just managed to make a game so easy for a rookie it looked like he was playing against Rutgers when he was at Ohio state…

Pathetic .

Heads need to roll for this . At least figure out who wants to man up and do their fricking jobs . What these grown men are getting paid to sticking do .

How does he compare to Trevor?  I don't really care.  I don't feel the need to put down Stroud in order to "defend" Trevor, which a lot of people seem to be doing.  They're both going to be great.
They’re both going to be very good and I also think Richardson has a shot to be very good.

Stroud is good, but I do somewhat agree the plays he hurt us the most on were more Tank breaking out of the coverage on a busted play after failing to sack him. When contained he looked decent still though.

Has the height and processing speed of Manning. The gun for an arm like Favre. The grittiness, willingness, mobility and penchant for making a big play by land or air like Elway.

He'll eventually win a Superbowl or two just like those guys and he's going to have some gut punchers that make you mad from time to time.

That's the nature of his game. I think he'll be one of the best in the business for another decade at the minimum. He's nowhere near his ceiling yet.

Just enjoy it. We got ourselves a franchise QB. Without question.

This is what excites me about Trevor the most. He’s already fantastic and the best QB we’ve ever had. And he’s only going to get better. That should scare the crap out of the rest of the AFCS/League

I'm happy he's continued to improve, I'm unhappy that CJ Stroud has been so good so early... Was hoping we'd just rock this division for a few years while the other teams were jaguaring for awhile.
The Texans are over achieving. That might not be sustainable.

This is the thing I'm interested in. A lot of rookies have flashed and then took a step back. Though obviously no where near the level Stroud has been. With Tank down for the rest of the year how does he respond?

Look at Daniel Jones and the Giants last year vs this year. Obviously Stroud >>>>>>> Jones. But still, the overall point remains, is this an over achieving season or are they legit? We'll know next year.

My prediction is Stroud still plays well though.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he's bad or can't be great but people are acting like he has no weaknesses. there is also people starting try and make an argument that he is the second best QB in the league. That's the hype I'm referring to.

I agree who's better than who doesn't matter in the end its a team game and if Stroud is better than Lawrence but as a team the Jags are better than the Texans then who cares.

I think he's feasted against zone Ds. If teams discover that man coverage flusters him, and he is unable to counter, it could bring him down to earth.

I also wonder how he'll fare with Dell out for the remainder of the year. Those two were a dynamic pairing.
Next time we complain about players being utilized out of position, just amuse your mind by thinking about how the Texans got Tank Dell injured yesterday. Sending your 5' 10", 165 lb WR up the middle as the lead blocker on a goal line push often doesnt end well. Fractured fibula and most likely out for the year.
Heartbroken

Just heartbroken.
It sucks

It really [BLEEP] sucks
Extremely sad. Normally I move on 5 minutes after a loss but this one…hurts. I don’t wanna wait until 2024. It’s always next year and Trevor gave us that hope that finally things have changed
Said it last year. Earlier this year. Lawrence would be lucky to finish the year with this offensive line.

They fear it's a fractured tibia.

Where do you see fractured tibia?

Reports are saying its a sprain. We'll get an injured, immobile Trevor back in 4-5 weeks.

Defense isn't going to keep us in it until the he gets back, unfortunately. Defense will cost us potentially all the games, guaran [BLEEP] teed.

Source: Youngest brother hammered.

No point in speculating. Even if he's back it will probably 2, 3 games that he's out and when they do get him they'll call a quicker offense to protect his ankle just like the knee.

This year is over. Had a great opportunity in a wide open offense. Offensive line just couldn't get it done per usual.

Anyone who doesn't think he's a franchise QB is about to get a rude awakening.
Schefty saying the same thing

Ankle sprain, MRI Tuesday - hopefully he can muster up the strength to be back for the Ravens
If it's really just an ankle sprain and there wasn't anything torn or fractured (knock on wood) the prognosis is 4 to 6 weeks recovery... we'll say a young athlete is on the shorter side of that, but if we could find a way to win a game or two with whoever... maybe we can still play for something?
Pederson is giving nothing on Lawrence, if they think it's just a sprain he would say that's what it looks like.
