Fair call out, I was wrong about stroud.

But, caveat here is that with Lawrence I took the time to geniunely watch each play he was involved in at Clemson, I did not do some sort of deep research into Stroud because there was obviously no point, we weren't taking him.

Tho if you wanna go back further you'd note I flat out said Zach Wilson would be a bust, I flat out said Justin Fields would be a budget Lamarr.. the guys I assumed we may have taken during that time (didn't know we'd have the first pick).

It's easy to dog on somebody when you change the narrative like NYC and others do. They took my observations of his flaws and made it out like I flat out called him a bust which I didn't. A simple search through my post history on draft day and before, I wanted to take him because he does have the most potential in that class, but he wasn't a generational talent..

LOL.  What a clown.  You’re the last person in the world to be talking about changing  narrative.  Whatever, carry on.  I know you will.  Until he turns it around then you’ll just flip flop again.

Stroud wasn’t ‘changing the narrative’.  It was just pointing out your skill at evaluating quarterbacks.
Battered wife syndrome is in FULL effect in this thread. ~20 years of bad to subpar qb play as got a lot of you absolutely loving your "generational talent" black eye.
The worst part of this off season is going to be these idiots screaming their brain dead Lawrence drivel until August when they'll all just disappear once the season starts.

Seems to me you said THE EXACT SAME THING about Stroud.

It sure is a crap shoot. How many college QBs have to make reads? It isn't something you see often because the first throw is there.

I prefer the what if Tlaw was behind that other team's line what would happen.

I watcher CJ Stroud in person against the Jags and he plays well. He has a great year and will probably have a bunch of good games. I am happy with our Jags just overly critical of the front office and the lack of a plan for building the team.

It could all change, we will see.

Yup. Said this after the Jags loss last weekend.

It’s gonna be all off season. It’s still January and I’m already over it.

It has already been well known/talked about that, that Clemson Offense did Trevor no favors towards getting him ready for the NFL game. Clemson has always ran that one read and go Offense. They did before Lawrence got there and did after Lawrence. They typically had far better talent than anybody they were playing so they could just run the plays called. No need to get fancy when you have the better athletes/players.

It's the fact that CJB thinks he's some guru who found the smoking gun that is whats hilarious. He thinks that's all Lawrence's doing, when the reality is Lawrence was running the Offense that was asked of him to run.

Not really, my original post was discussing the flaws in a QB that has potential and pointing out that he's been over hyped (which has been clearly proven true)

My opinion on Lawrence was based on watching ALL of his plays in college, I was much more invested in the guy than I was for someone like Stroud because it was a possibility for our team to draft him.

You can dog me on my take of Stroud all you want, but it dosen't take anything away from the correct take I had on Lawrence and 3 years of film that backs it up.

If you don't like it, tough [BLEEP]. I don't like it either. I'd like the team to win.

I don't think any playbook says "throw the pass 10 feet above your WRs head" or "Throw into triple coverage and pray your guy catches it"

The worst part will be watching this inept FO not fix the Oline.

He's a one read then run guy. Exposed last night
even Great QBs have bad plays. Trevor throws a great ball, but his Oline doesn't allow for him to setup as often as he would like. the first 10 or so weeks Trevor was really good, Ridley, Kirk, Zay and Engram dropped alot of balls some deeps shots that would of been Bomb TDs right on the money. the last 7 games he was strugging with really bad Oline play, Playcalling and injuries. even in the last game had two deep shots one was on the money and 1 was off by 1 inch. even the best QB don't hit on those everytime. Trevor deserves both Blame and Credit. but everyting around him isn't ogod either. guys are engaged like they should be. no confidence.

That's fine, I was never a huge Hurts guy myself. Was just grabbing some of what most people consider the "top" QBs

CJB would take JHurts in a heartbeat over TLaw. He would prefer Flacco as well. LOL

You mean the advanced metrics that show he's actually a damn good QB hampered by a piss poor OL and everything else that went wrong this year?

He’s not bright enough to interpret those metrics.

Our offensive philosophy has to change. Power running, play action, deep passes down the middle, create open space pre-snap is what we need to move toward.

I want more snaps under center and more power runs + personnel to do it too.

But let's not confuse PASS snaps under center with a QB on the injury report for 11 games with what we need to do in the run game.

I'd wager the snaps under center for both pass and run jump up if they place a C/LG worth a damn
