I'm not worried about him being the real deal or not because I think he is. I said at the beginning of last year that it was going to be his real rookie season because of Meyer, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous at points last year. He was making some boneheaded mistakes on a regular basis and you could see it getting to him. I never lost faith that he could be the guy, but I knew he needed to hit that point where things changed. Luckily that happened last year and it just solidified it in the Chargers game when he threw 4 ints and didn't let it phase him.

To add to that, I did think it was weird that people were calling him a bust.
Trevor came in at 96 on the top 100 list. Seems OUTRAGEOUSLY low.

Meh, as much as I would love to see him higher, the 1st 7 weeks of the 2022 season still exist. I'm sure if he does what he did in the back half of 2022 throughout the entire 2023 season, he will be in the top 20 easily next season.

The Jaguars were 2-1 and in 1st place in the division to start the 2022 season. We lost some close ball games after that, and he got the blame for those tough losses.

One of those wins was in week 3 when the Jaguars traveled out west and beat the brakes off the Chargers. Lawrence threw 3 TD passes and 0 ints for 262 yards and he was 28 for 39. The Jaguars won 38-10. That shouldn’t be overlooked because the feeling after that game was that was a game he arrived.

It was the 5 game losing streak after the Chargers game that caused an uproar. During that 5 game span Lawrence threw just 4 TDs while throwing 5 ints and fumbled 5 times, while being sacked 10 times and lost 5 games in a row. Lawrence had a completion percentage of 57.83 during that 5 game stretch.

In those first 3 games of last season he threw 6 TDs and just 1 int and was sacked only 2 times. He also won 24-0 against Indianapolis and had a completion percentage of 69.37 during that 3 game span.

From week 9 until week 18, Lawrence threw 15 TDs to just 2 ints. His completion percentage during that 9 game stretch was 69.71 and he added 2 more TDs on the ground.

Can we change the narrative from “the first half of the season.”

It was the Philly game which was week 4 when he hit a rough spot that lasted the next 5 weeks through the Denver game in week 8.

If Etienne catches the ball on 4th down against Washington we would have won that ball game which would have given Lawrence a perfect 3-0 start.

I am the stat man.

Justin Fields is ranked higher. List is a complete joke.

This tells me the running backs need to point their ire in the direction of the running QB or learn to throw.  They really are being over valued IMO.

Well, I mean, he is the second best running back in the League after all.

Lawrence being rated lower than Fields is comical
TL at #96, while Justin Fields is at #86

That doesn't compute
Fields above Lawrence..wow

Who made this list?

The players don't even fill out a top 100 list. They only put down like 10-15 names and then people behind the scenes put together the list.

Fun to look at I guess, but that's about it. Trevor being lower than Fields just shows how much of a joke it is lol.
We now have an idea of what Lawrence’s contract will look like, with the Herbert contract that just broke.

Herbert got 5 years for 262 with 133 guaranteed with about 52 per year.

Burrow is up next..

then most likely Lawrence will be after this season. The earlier the cheaper.

Shades of 2018. But no, it feels different this time.

Fields rated higher than Lawrence is not surprising to be fair. He's been pushed as the victim of bad coaching, bad receivers etc since he came into the league. Also don't forget the uproar when it was clear he wasn't going to be drafted latest at #2.

For reasons media has decided he's a upcoming superstar and act accordingly. I have nothing against him personally but I just don't see his ability as a passer and due to the media narrative it would be fun if he's bad again...

There's a lot of inlation in these contracts. It's fair to say Trevor won't get less than that. Agree it's the sooner the better.

I thought Fields would end up being a pretty good QB but yeah, no way should he be ranked higher than Trevor. This is a typical case where Jaguar’s players lose respect points for the market they play in.

I'd be aiming to pay him more and sign him to a longer deal like Mahomes' structure.

Trevor has hinted at wanting to help the team when the time comes, so a longer term would allow them to get creative about spreading the money out and restructuring when necessary down the road.

I'm thinking this deal will be north of 300 mil
What's Everybody's expectations from trevor this year? I'd like to see a tick up in accuracy to around 69%. Touchdowns up to around 34 at 2 per game. Yards up to around 4600. And I'm fine with him staying around 8 interceptions.

I would venture Kyler Murray is too, but ain't like I will pay one iota of attention to their filler between ad space.

rule 1, do not trust OSU QBs. Much like Bama, they are a factory of talent all around the QB position, so they can pad stats and cover up blemishes reeeeeeeeal good.

I give zero farts about stats so long as we are winning.

If he puts up the same numbers as last year but we get two more wins? Sign me the heck up.
