Elite performance today by Trevor?

Not at all.

Your absolutely right. He was terrible in pass protection, especially when Jones was his assignment. He had a couple of drops on 3rd downs that cost us and he fumbled that lateral. Also he kept not toe tapping in the endzone as well didn't he. If only Lawrence hadn't made all those mistakes as everyone else was perfect today.

What a moron you are.

He wasn’t good but the whole offense (besides Kirk) was bad.

OLine was horrible. WRs couldn’t get their feet down or catch the ball for that matter.

Just an overall offensive mess.

Exactly. It's Week 2 against the SB champs. I love the optimism from fans but I don't see this as a season defining moment. It's frustrating as we had the turnovers and D played great but we were the masters of our own downfall.

Plenty to correct but that's what Week 3 and 4 and 5 are for. This is still a team one year from the #1 pick, were young and learning and games like this will help us down the road.
Rough day for Trevor

OL gets a lot of blame - but he missed on 2 or 3 routine throws today with time to throw

Can't do that vs the champs
Trevor played like garbage

Defense kept us close for a while and need to get an attaboy.
And the trolls are back. Sigh

It took all of one loss, lol.

One of those throws could have been negated with a 6'6 QB jumping over the goalline on 1st and 1 to go. He did it multiple times last year. He had a few off throws today but his guys seemed to also have a hard time with positioning themselves to stay inbounds.

They made more routine, toe tapping catches last year with harder throws. Just glad he didn't turn it over like he's done in the past. Shows growth.

I am more concerned with 6 pressures with Jones, 4 sacks and him being pressured on 25% of his attempts today and the clearly different feel on how this offense moves and operates in comparison to what they did last year down the stretch.

Failing to get him outside the pocket and away from Chris Jones is criminal and failing to keep exploiting the TE personnel packages that resulted in better running up the middle with Etienne was also criminal.

Going for it on 4th and 5 or 6 in the 1st half around midfield was also bush league. Sometimes Doug needs to stop treating situations like it's a dick measuring contest and just play the percentages.

He's starting to come off as that guy that won a scratch off lottery ticket once for $5K but now he wants to spend $100 everyday on the powerball.

Really no need to resort to name calling, we’re all fans of the same team.

Only reason I mention this is because so many people anointed Trevor as elite in this thread. My whole point has been that he has potential but he isn’t there yet. Cautious optimism.

Is Burrow elite?

0-2, averaging 150 passing yards a game with 2 TDS and 1 interception overall.

Trevor is 9-4 in his last 13 games with 3 of those 4 losses to the Chiefs….

He certainly wasn’t good today. Missed some throws he usually makes but today was an overall offensive mishap. Zay not getting 2 feet down twice. Kirk with a timely 3rd down drop (he was great today btw). Ridley looked gassed for half the game. Oline was in shambles all game.

It was an overall mess.

Trevor is a top 5 QB and will be just fine.
Lawrence played just about as good as you could ask considering the lack of pass protection.

He missed a few throws, sure. But none of his missed throwed were game breakers. On the flip side, his receivers betrayed him more so than Luke trying to keep Leia a secret to Vader.

Trevor kept us in this game. It was not his fault at all that we lost. I've only been posting here for about 10 months, so I'm not sure exactly whey this thread is 67 pages long. The discussion about whether or not Trevor Lawrence is a Franchise QB is clearly over.

Dude is a potential HOF'er so long as Doug Pederson doesn't [BLEEP] up his progression by forcing Press Taylor to design the plays and call the game on Sunday...
Definetly a off day

Nah he was off today too.  Defense and special teams provided opportunities that the offense never could capitalize on.  Again, play calling is somewhat of an issue at times.  Execution on offense was the major issue today with drops, too much pressure given up and slightly off throws.  Hopefully they'll clean up what they can and Cam Robinson's return in a few weeks will provide some of what we're missing on the line.  Was a slow death sitting in the stands in the heat watching that offense never be able to make it in the end zone.  You have to make them pay on the muffed punt and also at 1st and goal on the 1.  You do those two things and it's a whole different ball game.

Yeah I think we’re all very much looking forward to Cam Robinson coming back from suspension. The offensive line was not good at all today, especially the interior. Interesting to see if they move Little to G.

Oh he is Elite and this game doesn't change anything. Sure he missed a couple throws (what QB doesn't), but the OL was god awful and his receivers dropped more passes than he missed. The play calling did us very little favors on Offense as well.
It looks like we all take losses differently lol

Some don't want to read anything negative at all

KC needed a win and they were desperate, I'm actually surprised they don't have Superbowl hangover. But we couldn't capitalize on the opportunities for some reason. We were expecting a high-powered offense like the "Greatest Show On Turf" v2.0, and we were brought back down to reality.

On to the next game. Not sure if Houston is a gimme, but their O-line is more banged up than ours.

Trevor hit the nail directly on the head with how I, and I'm sure many others, are feeling about this game.

Almost verbatim but like TLaw said, there were multiple situationally-dependent miscues. Obviously the players didn't execute the plays but I feel as though this loss mainly falls on the coaching staff today - and in no way will Trevor place the blame on them but I hope the coaches put our players in better situations.

I think everyone will learn from this loss and use it as fuel to be better in our upcoming games from the coaching staff down to the players. I'm just glad this learning lesson occurred in week 2 and not late in the season.

It just stings a bit especially when our defense stymied Mahomes and Co for most of the game and we couldn't capitalize for various reasons. This game was absolutely winnable from the outset all the way to the last couple of minutes.
