Everyone? As I recall, there was quite a bit of debate about the term, but you know there is a whole spectrum between “bust” and “generational”. I think he’s going to be a franchise player for us for a decade or more. He will need to get a better OL to really be all he can be though.
If he is better than average with this roster than we are good enough to compete with anyone in the league.
The thing though is that he hasn't even been that this year. He's having a down year and there's plenty of time to turn things around and there's no better eam to do against than the Tacks. They have the worse passing defense in the league.
It's hilarious that this thread is at a hundred and twenty pages and people still don't understand what "generational talent" means.
Let me clarify it, for the mongoloids among us, it's about his talent, not whether he'll be a hall of fame QB, his talent level as a prospect.
His size combined with his arm strength and flexibility combined with his mental acuity combined with his athleticism combined with his intangibles.
Nothing at this point is changing his status as a generational talent (though you can argue about whether that assessment of his talent was correct), the only question at this point is how successful his career will be.

he had a terrible line AND he didn't help himself neither by throwing his body like a line backer....
But i think Luck was a tad overrated anyway...

Improving what? His blocking maybe? He has 34 yards on the year lol. He hasnt even had a catch in the laat 3 games and averages less than 1 catch every other game. I'm not calling him a bust yet but Stange has been doing things you can get from a UDFA rookie so far this year. He is not what you want out of a 2nd round pick up to this point. There were some very good players sitting there where we were picking in the 2nd this year. Hopefully Stange improves.

Sense a touch of sarcasm but if you're serious it was the fact he was battered to a pulp due to most of his career behind a trash O line. Baalke and co need to figure out the interior 3, and fast.

A bit lol. But yes; that’s why I think a lot of criticism and talk of “he’s not generational” is a bit unfair. Luck got screwed over by an idiot GM and I think Trevor may too.

Not knocking Strange as a player, but like the Bigsby pick before him I question selecting a RB/TE that high when they were both going to be backups regardless.
I also got to wonder how much the Knee injury is affecting his game. I hope they got something figured out Sunday.

He's moving out of the pocket today as well. Something that's been missing most of the year this season.
Something I have specifically been calling out and being told "nah, not true". It's obvious.

I think its the play calling. There has been a notable difference today in play action calls, QB keepers and options.
His knee looked just fine to me when he lead the offense in rushing yardage against the Saints weeks ago.
