Unfortunately instead of improving upon year 2 Trevor seems to have regressed a bit.  Still way too early but quality QBs score a lot of points.  26 in the last two games is really bad
All of these guys you named above regressed a bit. Herbert was a bad Kirk Cousins pass away from being 0 - 3 today. Allen is hit or miss most of the time.

This is the same guy that got beat by us with a rookie Lawrence and bum coaching staff in Meyer. Burrow has fallen off a cliff here after getting a massive contract.

Also, those guys were entering year three with the same coaching staff. This is year two for Lawrence with Pederson. It's a little bit different. Again, I think Lawrence was far from perfect today but again, [BLEEP], man, when your receiver drops a TD, a 3rd down conversion in enemy territory, another fumble in enemy territory and a critical 4th down conversion taken away from your highest paid, veteran, "all pro" lineman?

What more do you want the [BLEEP] kid to do?

They want him to fail so they can be right. No other explanation

Not to be a dick but thats a horrible take.

No fans of the team want to see their QB fail.

You would be surprised. We have people on here who relish in it and are happier than a pig rolling around in it's own [BLEEP] when he has a bad game.

You're correct though. No TRUE fan would want to see any of our players fail. With that said. With only four play off appearances since 2000.

Many folks have grown naturally cynical. Afterall, this is the same franchise that ruined Garrard, Leftwich, Gabbert, Bortles and Minshew.

It's a QB league now, and in some way fans usually love or hate their own QB in a way but that doean't mean they want him to fail to "proof" that they were right about that individual QB. There's a difference.

By the way I am not a fan of "franchises ruining QBs", it has little to do with that and much more to do with their abilities. Bortles sucked. Minshew is an elite game managing QB and thats fine with me.

Agreed, I don't think anyone who actually watches this team wants him or any other player to fail.

People like "MyKids" and the like typically only post on here directly after a poor performance, they probably arent even jaguar fans.

Back to the drawing board?
99.9% of the people on this man want the best for the team.
There’s some trolls but that’s the nature of the business. But some people here I think are so traumatized by the jags that they can’t have a modicum of objectivity regarding Trevor. We’re so excited as a franchise to have a legit QB with potential to be good for a long time. And I think that can still happen.

But someone pointing out that Trevor has a ways to go doesn’t make them a troll. It’s being objective. When he plays like an elite qb I am as happy as anyone. I’d love nothing more than Trevor being prime Manning.

Right now however he’s a young talented qb with inconsistencies and his own flaws. He still can and needs to develop more.

He’s not elite - and to be fair besides a handful of games last year he’s been far from elite. Saying that doesn’t make you a lesser fan or a troll or anything.
Just like last year, there will be people jumping ship.

And just like last year, they’ll come crawling back but myself and others won’t forget.

If one points out TL's obvious limitations over the last two years, the thought police here do everything they can to belittle and ostracise the wrongthink.  TL continues to make the same mistakes, they continue to be noted, drawing ever more personal attacks to shut down the conversation that TL may have some severely limiting shortcomings.  He may in fact not be the Messiah, but a very naughty boy.  "Horrible take", "you don't know football", "troll" plus a long list of why it's every other player's fault that TL continually fails to lift when it's his turn to go (apart from a game and a half at the end of last season).

If you were to go back to the start of the TL critique, you would see very reasonable engagement from the critiquers which was met by a near-unanimous shutdown in often personal terms.  When met with such unreasonableness.

We are at almost the same place we were at following TL's first year in the league.  He is in desperate need of development between the ears.  He needs coaching, if he's coachable, that makes him far more situationally effective.  He needs to learn to rely far less on his outrageously gifted arm strength, and far more on reading and leading the game.
Glad to have Trevor. Disappointed that he is surrounded by #becausejaguars

Pointing out someone’s flaws is “jumping ship?”

What’s the purpose of a message board if we can’t discuss and analyze the players, coaches, games?

And again, it’s not you. It’s a specific few posters who only post in this thread after a negative performance. In fact one of the posters immediately posted in the WC game thread after Trevor’s first INT after mysteriously posting sparingly at all the prior weeks. And promptly had egg in their face.

Those are who we are referring to. If you only come here after bad days from the kid, sorry, you are relishing it and basically trolling

Yep. I may think your opinion is incorrect and crow might have been deserved at some moments, but I’ll at least credit you for sticking around
Are we not allowed to have meltdowns? Wow. Salute to the fans that keep it chill, i guess? ??

Unless they're really not a fan
TL isn't the only problem on the team. Not really the main problem anyway. Look at what happened today. Blocked FG. Missed FG. TD return on a punt. 0 sacks against a team with a rookie QB and 4 of 5 starting O-lnemen out. It's a LOT of things going wrong at once - and that''s on the coaches. They need to get things sorted out and quickly before the season gets out of hand.

It's okay the call out your concerns but when you sit there and have a meltdown... They're the worst team in the league...oh my god Trevor sucks This guy sucks... We're going 1-15 and then when they make a plays you turn around... Have a winning season... they're like we're going to the super bowl.... Those are people we're talking about
