I hope you’re talking to a mirror because that’s the only way you’ll gain agreement.
Last night was rough, nothing worse than being drunk and watching whatever the hell that was.

Well typically when the QB throws up his hands and proceeds to have some words with his receiver, it's typically not because the receiver made the right play/route.

I wonder if backup WRs should be running "choice routes."  That kind of route demands that the WR and the QB see the coverage the exact same way, and the WR breaks the way the QB expects him to break.  The WR breaks right, or left, or just turns around and stays there, but the QB has to throw the ball before he does that.  That requires lots of practice, which a backup WR doesn't get with the starting QB during the season.

Just a thought.
This picture sums up the season well after bye week.

I don’t think the team was drunk but it did look like it. Ha!

The only thing worse would of been watching it sober
Leading the league in Turnovers while only having 23 total touchdowns isn’t a good ratio by any means.

Still, he’s played injured and has shown leadership.

Fix the offensive line, gets some more weapons and let’s try again next year.

Agree, the beat thing that can help the defense right now is a offense.  The defense gets worn down by half time because the offense can't even get a FG.   Even when the D get a stop or a turnover, even if they give the offense the ball on the opponents side of the field, the defense knows they won't even fer a FG out of it.  It would be hard to get motivated when they know that's the case and how bad this offense is

Thanks for bringing some sanity to this space. Yes, Trevor is having a terribly disappointing season in all respects. No denying he must learn to take better care of the ball in order to become an elite quarterback. Those who are already writing him off as a "bust" have obviously had way too much Christmas egg nog! Sure, some are trolls who love to bash the team and this is not surprising. However, the actual lovers of this team who have already given up on him and the team need to remember how bad this team had been for 15 years and that Trevor has played hurt with basically no help from the remainder of the offense after Kirk got hurt (and then Zay). The offensive line, as the stats and our own eyes have shown, has been horrible no matter who is playing on a given day. The expectations of the fanbase after the 8-3 start was not realistic given the weak early schedule and the weaknesses of this team.

Whether or not the "Trevor lead Jaguars" eventually win a Super Bowl will depend on whether Baalke (or another G.M. finally address the offensive line). Lawrence is naturally very frustrated and pressing, but he is the least of my worries about the future success of this team.

Merry Christmas to all ( including the trolls).!

Yeah, I think this is the sane take. I got really caught up in the exuberance at 8-3. I really started to believe we had a legitimate shot at winning the AFC.

It’s sad when Reddit is a bastion of sanity for once

Agreed, Reddit does seem to be the bastion of sanity today...

The fire Press Taylor thread on Reddit has 200 upvotes, about 30 more than the thread you posted.

Trevor IS a franchise QB , love the leadership he’s shown the last few weeks.

The PROBLEM is he always says “I’m the same guy week and week out” it’s like no dude; you’re getting pissed off now and it’s great. Let your emotions show a little, you’re the leader of our franchise.

Loved that he said it looks like we don’t practice. CUZ ITS TRUE they looked like a high school football team. Where are the competitors of this team? So far it only looks like Trevor and Josh Allen are the only leaders unhappy with where we are at right now
There's still only a handful of people considering him a bust. But when people start pointing out his issues we see the homers jump in to defend him and make excuses for his bad play.

Trevor is still our QB, and I wouldn't call him a bust or release or trade him. Would I pay him top QB money right now? Not a chance. Do I think he needs help? Absolutely, because this O-Line is absolutely terrible. Do I think he has some bad decision-making issues that need to be resolved? 100% and his turnover history will prove that.

A lot of the posters here like to think that the people pointing out Trevor's issues want him to fail. That makes no sense because that would set this franchise back. We want him to succeed, but we also want to voice when he is [BLEEP] up just like we do with other players.

Lol
I am just going to say he's injured and he sucks while injured. Not a franchise QB lately.

Pretty much this.

Somehow people still wanna play him while he is injured when we have pretty much nothing to gain, and it's not like playing him guarantees a win lol we just lost 4 in a row with him starting.

A rather sober take.

My issue isn’t with pointing out flaws.

It’s the posters, and they know exactly how they are, who 1. Only show up for a bad game. Literally never post about anything else or in other threads and/or 2. Were against him from the beginning and even use dual accounts; changing their mind like underwear.

While that's good in theory and could have some truth, but then why do they constantly let opposing Offenses walk right down the field on the very first possession of the game? Are they already worn down and tired from the pre-game warm up?
