Great explanation, as always.

You can discuss anything Trevor Lawrence related here.  (like everyone else not stamping their feet like a petulant child)
Or you can get hung up win the thread title and moan.

Your choice

Having a mega thread this big about a main thing of the team means that other more entertaining topics that are related to this topic will be over-run by the Mega thread.  It's cool and all, but I'm just pointing out how having this type of thread actually makes detailed discussion about this particular player less likely...

But you're the moderator of the forum, and you like what you like and therefore you will dictate to us what is good and what is bad.  However, I'm well within my rights to discuss this within this thread the reason why this thread has worn out it's usefullness.

Oh, except, there is a use, isn't there?  We can keep this thread going to shame those that initially didn't think Lawrence was a Franchise QB.  That's a petty reason to keep such a thread going, in my opinion.

Trust the process. Mods do a good job here sorting all the crazy [BLEEP] that overspills from thread to thread and merging them when needed.

Odd that you are the only one complaining about a long thread.  You might think about that for a second. No one else seems to mind.

I don't dictate anything here. I operate according to the rules we all agreed to when we signed up and mods act as a democratic collective when grey areas of the rules come in to play. Of course, you've already been told this.

Has nothing to do with shaming anyone from prior posts in the thread.  It's easy to search other threads and specific poster's content without the single thread if you feel like calling someone on their bull [BLEEP]

There are DOZENS of other TL threads archived here.

Please contribute to the topic of Trevor Lawrence, our franchise QB, or move on. You are derailing the topic.
If he wins a Superbowl? This thread will be pinned.

eh, we'll see...

I made a post about a specific play call.  And 2 moderators attacked me for creating a new thread that was different from the Pederson/Press Taylor Play Calling "mega thread".

It's obvious they want to corral certain topics that they do not like into one mega threat so that it becomes diluted.

God forbid multiple threads about how bad the OC is start to bubble up.  Better to just have it in one area where you can't really pin point the issues.  It all becomes noise.

Like, for example.  That 1st and Goal with 1 second left in the Half should have it's own thread....  Instead it's all filtered into the Pederson/Press Taylor Playcalling Mega Thread.  It dilutes the ability to actually discuss why that one single play is a clear example of how bad an OC Press Taylor is...

But that's just my analysis.  Feel free to disagree.  I won't insult you or attack you in a pejorative if you think I'm wrong...

Not sure why this is such an issue for you? We used to have about 5 different threads about Lawrence going on at the same time and it became a mess. This thread has had a number of different discussions about Lawrence and any sensible post or take will usually spark a debate. If posters post a bad hot take or take shots then yeah they'll get some pushback when he plays well. He's our damn QB. It's not like we're arguing over Zach Wilson.

If you think the thread is pointless then find another one. Plenty of talk going on about a wide range of topics. Its all good man.

Feel free to bring more entertaining and better discussion regarding Lawrence in this thread. No reason to start another one.

But why?

Who cares?  Nobody is going to read that entire [BLEEP]...  LOL

I mean, again, if you want to antagonize all those Lawrence haters, isn't there a better way that still allows the Forum to run in a more engaging and thoughtful way?  Eh, whatever.

All I'm saying is that every time I see this stupid thread, I wonder who the hell still is debating whether Trevor Lawrence is a Franchise QB or not.  Whoever is, is clearly a troll.  So why feed that type of stupid discussion.

Lawrence is a Franchise QB.  The discussion is over.  Why not start a thread, "Can Lawrence win a SB?"

At least that's something that can be debated.

I will print that [BLEEP] out and put it in a leather bound book to keep somewhere for my son.

You're son will be like, Dad.  This is a Wendy's....

I'm just saying there are other, more engaging ways to have discussions that are actually conducing to more fruitful debate.  Again, the debate about Lawrence being a Franchise QB is clearly over.

It would be like if we kept a discussion going on about how the Earth may be Flat.  Obviously it's not.  Let's move on to another discussion.

That's all I'm saying.  And I'll leave it at that.

I guess I'll just come here every weekend and say, "yeah, he's a franchise QB, can we end this thread?"

Or you could just discuss Trevor Lawrence here like everyone else and quit being a douche about it
I still don't think Trevor is a 50 million per year QB.

I'd rather sign him to a 40 million per year contract...bring Josh Allen back...have both retire Jags.

There will be lots of hand wringing about numbers - but the market will decide it more than the Jags brass will, and it is probably going to be a long deal that gets restructured 4 or 5 times to maintain a roster anyway.

I'm fine paying him a ridiculous sum. We've gone decades without the opportunity to overpay a QB worth keeping.

He's going to get paid. Burrow is getting $55m a year and Lawrence will be in that area. For me, it's not a question that he'll be worth it and with the way the cap is going and QB contracts it will only be a year or two into a new deal and he'll be like the 5th highest paid QB.

You pay your franchise QB. When you find one you thank your lucky stars and do everything possible to keep him as long as possible.
Good game by Trevor. Not a total surprise that he played well when he has some time. I think Zay being back is huge, as is the emergence of D’Ernest Johnson.

Trevor had a couple of throws in the red zone that he wishes he could have back but overall that was a good performance.

Also it was great to see our D step up and stop the Texans there in the end. Props to Josh Allen for another great game.

But I don’t look forward to having to face Stroud twice a year. He is legit and very good already.
