You mentioned National Security Adviser John Bolton. He's not supporting you either. You mentioned Attorney General Bill Barr. Says you shouldn't be president again. Calls you 'the consummate narcissist' and 'troubled man.' You recently called Barr a 'gutless pig.'"

Your second defense secretary is not supporting you. Called you irresponsible. This week, you called your White House Chief of Staff John Kelly 'weak and ineffective' and 'born with a very small brain.' You called your acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney a 'born loser.' You called your first Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, 'dumb as a rock,' and your first Defense Secretary, James Mattis, 'the world's most overrated general.' You called your White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany 'milquetoast.'

And multiple times, you've referred to your Transportation secretary, Elaine Chao, as 'Mitch McConnell's China-loving wife.'

I haven't seen the movie, and the Atlantic article came out first,  but I got the impression that if the CNN reviewer hadn't connected "fire people = my parents", they wouldn't have enjoyed the movie.  All they wanted to talk about was the Asian thing.

I remember I read a lot of stuff about Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, before and after I saw it.  A lot of that stuff barely mentioned that the main characters were Asian immigrants.  They mentioned how it defied categorization and expectations and was really fun, and then maybe they mentioned the creators were Asian.

Representation of minorities is a good thing.   But it's no good by itself.  If it's the main good thing you can say about a new movie, it's probably not a good movie.

Representation is where the entertainment industry has been headed for some time but now they're demanding it over talent. If we thought movies and television shows were getting bad before we haven't seen anything yet.

I don't care about representation I care about who is qualified or in this case who is talented. No one other than Jack Nicholson could've pulled off his character in The Shining. Could you see anyone other than Tom Selleck as Magnum P.I.?

No I really couldn't.  I can imagine a story about a black man going crazy and trying to murder his family, or an Asian man hunting down bad guys, but they are different stories.  Different types of folks need to get in the game at all levels to invent and flesh out the stories us white folks haven't heard yet.

OMG Mike!  You answered the question in one 4 word sentence.  Then you went off the deep end.

It's OK.  No one else has either.

Hell no. Lol. I watched the trailer back when it came out and was like, NOPE. They made Higgins a girl. And don't get me started on the Fantasy Island reboot. I watched about 15 minutes of that crackfest and still have PTS. They made "Tattoo" a girl named Ruby and a lesbian. At least the main character is Mr. Roarke's daughter or granddaughter. That makes sense.

I don't care if new shows are made that put these folks in them but to reinvent characters from these very popular shows to check all the inclusive boxes is ridiculous. What next? Daisy Duke is an Asian trans woman? Cooter is a.....woman named Cooter? JR Ewing from Dallas is a black homosexual? The reboot of That 70s/90s Show sucked because they tried to shoehorn 2023 issues into a 90s era show.

If you're curious about the hierarchy of Elon Musk on the global stage, this is a good article. He is voraciously ambitious and pursuing his vision of the space realm. This author does a good job of drawing parallels between SpaceX and the iPhone. However, Musk's near monopoly on customers won't be the average consumer, it will be governments and large powerful institutions.

Any amount of money sent for foreign aid needs to be and should be accounted for. That goes for equipment as well.

Cat fight!  This could be a comedy show.  "You copied my articles of impeachment!"

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/marjor...01216.html

According to two sources that saw the exchange and a third familiar with the matter, the back and forth began when Boebert approached Greene—then seated in the chamber—and confronted her over “statements you made about me publicly.” All three of the sources said Greene called Boebert a “[BLEEP].” One of the sources said Greene called her “a little [BLEEP].”

According to two of the sources, Greene then stood up and alleged that Boebert “copied my articles of impeachment,” to which the Colorado lawmaker fired back that she hadn’t even read Greene’s resolution.

“I’ve donated to you, I’ve defended you. But you’ve been nothing but a little [BLEEP] to me,” Greene told Boebert, according to a source who witnessed the exchange. “And you copied my articles of impeachment after I asked you to cosponsor them.”

The name-calling was confirmed by another GOP lawmaker and another source who witnessed the exchange.

“I heard Marjorie call Boebert a [BLEEP] right to her face,” one GOP lawmaker said, granted anonymity by The Daily Beast to speak freely about the argument.

“OK, Marjorie, we’re through,” Boebert then said, shrugging her shoulders.

With Boebert’s back turned, Greene responded: “We were never together.”

I’m putting my money on Greene. She looks vicious and probably fights dirty.
