Fair enough.  Trump inherited a housing shortage that got worse during his time in office.
This is probably sad but true.........

Wars and unemployment

Actually there was a shortage of employment. But that's a story for another day.

The shortage of infant formula is driven by a contamination issue coupled with a stable demand issue. Demand for formula is so steady that manufacturers have it easy and only need to create just enough to meet demand.  They don't need to have excess production available - and why would they?.  So when an issue like this happens, only time can fix the issue. The media's fixation on this causes panic buying and hoarding further compounds the problem.

Well, when you release a manufactured virus around the world, I'm pretty sure a few economies are going to damn near crash.

What shortages occurred during Trump?

How about toilet paper?  In 2020, we had widespread shortages of toilet paper.

When anything bad happens, the knee-jerk partisans blame their enemies.  There's no consistency to it.   One side is not to blame for anything.  The other side is to blame for everything.  Oh my God, there's a baby-formula shortage.  It's all Biden's fault.  That's not intelligent discourse.  It's just mental masturbation.

What caused the baby-formula shortage?  Did Biden's policies cause it?  How?  Or, did the nation's largest baby formula factory suddenly shut down?  Is there panic buying and hoarding that is making the shortage worse?  What can be done about it?

What the heck did Biden do that caused this baby-formula shortage?

Oh, forget all that.  Typing, "Why is there a baby-formula shortage" into google is just too much effort for some people.  They'd rather just make up some big giant conspiracy to explain it.  Or, don't even go to that effort.  Just blame Biden.

Sure, but where are you going to move to?  It's great that your house went up in value, but so did the house you will need to buy to move into.
Woke universities' newest social justice crusade: Fighting 'fatphobia' | Fox News

...The school released a policy brief in October called, "Addressing weight stigma and fatphobia in public health," which said the country’s focus on body size is "rooted in racism" dating back to Charles Darwin, and it advised against using "extremely stigmatizing" words like "obesity" in favor of terms such as "people in larger bodies."

"Though lifestyle factors such as nutrition and exercise are important, it is essential to note the historical racism and injustices within our current food environment," the brief said. "As presented by Soul Fire Farm, the U.S. food system is built on stolen land using stolen labor from Black and Latinx indigenous people. Not only has this created a large scale food apartheid and trauma for people indigenous to this land, it has caused a disconnection of indigenous people from their cultural practices and identities."...

In February, Claremont McKenna College in California hosted a lecture called, "Fatphobia and Capitalism," by Ragen Chastain, a self-described "fathlete."

https://twitter.com/danceswithfat/status...-fatphobia

During the lecture, Chastain addressed how "capitalism, weight stigma, and diet culture intersect to create marginalization, alienation, and harm to people of all sizes" and discussed "strategies to mitigate and transform the status quo around body size culture."

The apparent trend in college campuses addressing fatphobia follows a Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine study last year that found more than half of young American adults, ages 18-25, are either overweight or obese.

Young people may be fatter but at least they're woke and fatter. That's what's important.

Darwin was certainly a racist, but I'm not sure he was a fat racist. With him, it was more about believing in and promoting eugenics. Today, he'd be considered a good Nazi.

What we really need today to overcome this social inequity is Buddy Love's magic blue elixir that transformed Dr. Sherman Klump from a plus 500 pounder to a slender, testosterone charged love god. Of course, that could present other problems of its own in today's world. The biggest being that you would end up with Jada Pinkett.

In closing, I'd like to leave you with two of my favorite Mama 'obesity' jokes (neither of which were in the movie)
"Yo mama's so fat that when she sat around the house, she really sat around the house"
"Yo mama's so fat that when they told her to 'haul [BLEEP]', she had to make 3 trips"

Sorry, one more.
Q: What do a fat guy/girl and a moped have in common?
A: They're both fun to ride until a friend sees you.

Thanks, you've been great, I'll be here all week (rimshot) ....gotta go now, I'm late for my Obesity Stigma and Sensitivity Training class. Ah screw it, I'll just go to the grocery instead.

Washington's war on air conditioning heats up | Fox News

How will Washington react when poor, underserved, minority, gender-fluid, LGBTQIA+, transgendered, left-handed people (sorry, the rest of you don't matter) start suffering and dying from the heat because they can't afford to have their air conditioners repaired. My guess they will vote on a federal spending bill, with at least 14 references to 'inclusion, diversity and equity', to pay for refrigerant. Government is its own job security.

Systems are likely to switch from R410a to R32.  Suppliers just need a little time to ramp down the production of one and ramp up the other. Unfortunately the compressors for one can't run the other very well so tweaks are needed all over the supply chain. But the new R32 systems will use less electricity as well.

Former Pres. Clinton: Biden Cares More About Helping People Than Doing Well in Polls

From the article: "In his first 16 months in office, Joe Biden has done exactly what he said he would do if elected — help America overcome an unprecedented pandemic, rebuild a battered economy from the bottom up and middle out so that it works for all of us, and restore our standing in the world," Clinton said in the write-up.

I wonder about that. I don't think anyone on Biden's team anticipated significant inflation.  But even if there wasn't inflation, Biden would still look pretty impotent at this point having over promised and under delivered on nearly every other front.  His infrastructure bill was a huge achievement of course but that's not going to create positive results for a while.  The states are still bidding on how to divvy up the funds.
You can always count on Charlie Brown to tell the truth...........

Four people dead and many injured in a Tulsa medical facility. Shooter is dead.

I need to get my concealed carry permit. I was at a doctor's appointment today. I don't think anyone would storm the place but these folks didn't think it could happen either. Neither did the folks in the church in CA, the folks grocery shopping in Buffalo, or the folks in the Uvalde school.
